Babes
Smaller productions have been able to tell some incredible stories this year, among them being NEON productions which has just been cranking them out. One of the films that NEON produced this year is called Babes. I was excited to see this one because it seemed slightly less intense then some of the other movies they produced this year and I was excited for a comedy.

Players
Players joins the list of romantic comedies released this year. A list that is very short. Though in the grand scheme of things it does appear that rom coms are making somewhat of a comeback. I doubt they will ever reach the heights they were at in the 90s/early 2000s but we do seem to be getting back into the genre. This was an exclusive Netflix release, no theatres were involved. But that does mean that it is eligible for my personal, very exclusive streaming awards that I will be doing at the very prestigious location of my bedroom.

20 Years: A Look Back at New Year's Revolution
Hard to believe that today marks 20 years since we fans of World Wrestling Entertainment were introduced to the short-lived event known as New Year's Revolution. It was the height of the Ruthless Aggression Era, and WWE was already almost three years into the original Brand Extension, which saw Raw and SmackDown with their own announcers, rosters, champions, and yes, even pay-per-views (with the exception of WWE's Big Four) were split up.

Why One Piece is Worth Watching
Despite being one of the most revered anime of all time, One Piece still repels skeptics due to its massive volume of episodes. As a big fan of One Piece myself, it has always been difficult trying to convince my friends to finally start watching the show. However, I too was one of those skeptics who hesitated to start watching it because of how many episodes it has.

Venom: The Last Dance
When Venom came out in 2018, I don’t think anyone expected it to be a trilogy. No one expected to be a good one. And yet here we are with a third venom movie in. The comfort is that we were right, and the trilogy as a whole is not good. The first one was, Tom Hardy was a pretty great casting choice and it was a fun, funny comic book movie. Then Let There Be Carnage came out and it was terrible. You could cut out the entire second act of the film and the movie would still make perfect sense, that’s bad writing. So here we are with Venom: The Last Dance, will it be on par with the first one? Or will it go the way of Let There Be Carnage and join the list of terrible superhero movies that came out this year?

The Substance
The Substance is a movie that was hardly talked about this year but has gotten a decent amount of awards buzz. A past her prime actress is presented with an option that might keep her in the spotlight for a bit longer. From the little rumblings that I’ve heard it is an intense story that critiques Hollywood. And we all know that is my shit so we are finally watching The Substance.

A Different Man
A Different Man is a film that I have heard exactly nothing about, I didn’t even know that Sebastian Stan was in this film so I was both surprised and intrigued. This movie has also been getting a lot of awards season buzz lately so I thought it was my duty to make sure this ended up on the watchlist. Sebastian Stan has taken some wildly different roles in the last few years, and I know that he really just works to eat but he is building up a hell of a portfolio.
