Movie Review: 'The Sunlit Night' is Charming and Quirky
The Sunlit Night is just quirky and good natured enough to work. Star Jenny Slate plays an artist seeking a voice who earns an apprenticeship that takes her to the farthest northern point of Norway. The romantic setting, oddball sense of humor and offbeat characters are kind of my jam. It may not be for everyone, but weird characters in a unique setting is sometimes just enough to get me to recommend a movie.

Movie Review: 'Easy Does It' is a Confused Homage to 70s Cinema
Easy Does It is a pointless meander through pretentious filmmaking homage couched in down home, redneck posing. Writer-director Will Addison sets out to critique the American dream via a dark comic crime/road movie and misses in just about every way you can imagine. Unfunny, downright dreary, at times, and visually chaotic, Easy Does It is a slog to get through as the story desperately searches for a point.

Le Voyage dans la Lune (1902) Review
La Voyage dans la Lune (1902), ‘A Trip to the Moon’ in English, is a French adventure short film directed by Georges Méliès, a precursor to modern sci-fi and fantasy films. With no dialogue, or even inter-titles, La Voyage dans la Lune manages to convey a clear story purely through visuals, with comedic elements that do not go amiss. The music does of course have a part to play and does a very good job of setting the tone right from the start.

'Mulan' Release Date Pushed Back to August 2020
Disney's live-action remake of their hit film Mulan was initially scheduled to be released on March 27th, 2020. It is the latest addition to their series of live-action remakes of some of their other previous films. Hopes were high when the trailers dropped, as it appeared that a lot of effort had been put into the film, not only to make Mulan a better character, but also to correctly and respectfully portray Chinese culture of the time period. Reports stated that Shang the love interest and Mushu the wacky sidekick would not be in the film, showcasing that this might be one of the most serious films Disney has ever done, especially considering their history as an entertainment company for families under the main Disney brand. However, by the time March rolled around, most movie theaters around the world had closed down as a result of the Coronavirus.

Hero's Journey: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe
I’ve decided to analyze one of my favorite movies of all time; The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The plot is set during the World War II bombings and four siblings are sent to a country house, by their mother, so they can be safe. In this country house, the youngest of the siblings, Lucy Pevensie, finds a wardrobe, which was actually a portal that took her to Narnia. The next time she ventures through the wardrobe, she brings her other three siblings with her and along with the narnian creatures, set off to defeat and dethrone the Queen of Narnia (who was not actually the queen, but rather the evil White Witch, who likes to call herself the Queen) to take their rightful place on the throne and release all of Narnia from her terror.

My Review of Rock & Rule
There has been many attempts to do an animated music film that wasn't going to Disney or any company that wasn't Disney. It's a tricky attempt to try and branch out of the norm and create a film with a unique premise. Rock & Rule was a nice start for that, it's not entirely a music movie masterpiece, but it does have some moments I'll share.
