'Knives Out 2' Is Twitter's Most Anticipated Film, According to Fans
It is no secret that Rian Johnson lost a lot of fanboy goodwill with his release of the highly controversial The Last Jedi. After directing Looper (a fan hit) and Breaking Bad episode "Ozymandias" (arguably one of the greatest episodes of TV, period), hopes were high that Johnson could take Star Wars back to something that everybody loved. He did not. After gaining much negative audience reception from The Las Jedi, he was at a critical juncture in his career in regards to what movie to do next.

Classic Movie Review: 'Female Trouble'
John Waters has become an icon of those with eclectic tastes. Waters is a fascinating personality and artist whose fame as an iconoclast may at last have surpassed his fame as a filmmaker. He’s written a number of bestselling books based almost entirely on his style and personality. Film is almost secondary to who John Waters has become in popular culture. This is not to say that his movies are or should be forgotten, it’s more an indication of how the art of John Waters has evolved.

Zack Snyder Is Excited About 'The Batman' Starring Robert Pattinson
Whenever a new Batman is cast, there tends to be a sect of fandom that feels skeptical about the new actor in the role. This goes way back to the casting of comedic actor Michael Keaton for the titular role in the 1989 film simply titled Batman. Lo and behold, Keaton now tends to be a fan favorite for many, with some even clamoring for him to return in a possible live-action Batman Beyond.

Christopher Nolan's Film 'Tenet' Gets Pushed Back Yet Again
Tenet, which stars Sam David Washington and Robert Pattinson, is the latest cinematic project from Christopher Nolan. Many superhero movie fans know him for The Dark Knight trilogy, but he has also done cerebral films, including the science fiction titles Inception and Interstellar. Judging from what little we know of the premise, it seems that Tenet is no exception and may fit in neatly with Nolan's collection of cerebral science fiction films. While the couple of trailers that have been released have not clarified the premise a whole lot, it seems that a concept referred to as "inversion" (which is explicitly said to not be time travel, necessarily) is an essential component of the plot, as agents try to prevent World War III.

'No Time To Die' Might Be Releasing Summer 2021
MGM and Universal are reportedly considering a summer 2021 release for the latest Bond film, No Time to Die. The fifth film to feature Daniel Craig as the iconic MI6 agent, it was initially slated to be released last April. However, the initial onset of the pandemic compelled the studios to delay the theatrical release by seven months, slating it for a November release date. With the world being as it is right now, it is possible that November could still be too soon to release a big film such as this.

When the Disney+ platform published the release schedule for August, a much anticipated MCU title was conspicuously left off of the updated list. The show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was going to see Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) step into leading roles with these characters. The two would continue the chemistry established between them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. This show was slated to become one of the first by Marvel Studios on the streaming platform.

Marvel's 'Spider-Man 3' Expected to Finish Up Production in February 2021
One of the more popular MCU heroes of late (and indeed, one of the most popular comic book characters of all time) is Spider-Man. We have seen several versions of the character over the years, most notably the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield films. While both have their strengths and weaknesses, Tom Holland's take on the character in the latest Marvel films has garnered universal praise, with some viewing him as the superior performance over the other two.

‘Clueless’ is the Perfect High School Movie
High school movies are a dime a dozen. Every generation has more than enough high school movies to call their own. But, like any genre, some movies are forgettable and there are other movies that last long after they have left theaters.

Documentary Review: 'Flannery' Inside the Life of a Southern Gothic Legend
Part of the obsession many have with author Flannery O’Connor is in the way she mixes her Catholicism with wildly entertaining and often profane characters. O’Connor’s colorful characters leapt off the page and yet, there is a wholesome, southern quality to them that grounds those characters in a reality that is remarkably relatable for those familiar with the mid-20th century American south and endearingly quirky for us northerners.
