King of Monsters Battle Royale
The trailer starts with Kong in chains on a huge battleship, with voice over by a generic white guy saying "We need Kong, for what's coming". So I'm wondering how they caught Kong, wasn't he supposed to get big as big as a skyscraper, enough to fight Godzilla. Even if Kong did grow to much, how do they expect Kong to beat Godzilla if some humans can capture it. Then we see a native girl that Kong has a connection with. This is a trope that needs to die a cold hard death. Anyways, There is another voice over with a generic white women saying, "Kong and her have a bond and she made a promise to protect her and she feels that Kong will to", awhile showing her alone with Kong on the ship. That is probably the funniest thing, I don't know if they plan to use her as bait for Kong's protection or what but it just sounds dumb to me.

Movie Review: 'Supernova' Dying a Hollywood Death
Hollywood sure seems to want to see those who’ve been diagnosed with deathly illnesses dead. I don’t intend to be flippant about life and death and the choices that people make about the end of their life. Nor do I wish to make any kind of political statement regarding end of life and whether or not those with traumatic illness should have a choice in whether or not they end their life.

A Filmmaker's Review: "North by Northwest" (1959)
Gosh there is so much to say about this film and I don't really know where to begin. I adore this film and I've seen it quite a few times now. I had thought of organising a filmmaker's guide to it, but I don't think I would be able to choose one thing to focus on. Instead, my review is going to go over the things I really enjoyed concisely. First and foremost is the storyline. I thought that the plot in all of its simplicity was able to be expanded into something more complex, something more than it was because of the fact that the root of it was simple. It was about a man, mistaken to be another man who does not exist. From that, the entire storyline is expanded to us for our viewing pleasure. It is known of Hitchcock to create plots that are so simple that he can expand them into something more complex rather than starting with the complex idea.

Movie Review: 'Palmer' Starring Justin Timberlake
In the new movie, Palmer, Justin Timberlake plays a former High School Football star quarterback who has just been released from prison. Moving back to his hometown of Sylvain, Louisiana, Palmer, as he’s known to friends, just wants to settle down and go unnoticed. He wants to get a job, have a few beers with friends and stay out of trouble. Naturally, there would not be much of a movie if that happened.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi(2021)- Review
Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi is a drama-comedy directed by Seema Pahwa. It starts with Ramprasad’s (Naseeruddin Shah) demise and his family having to come and live under the same roof to perform all the Hindu rituals within the 13-day mandatory period that they need to stay for. Ramprasad & his wife (Supriya Pathak) have a big family with 6 children their spouses, their children, and a lot many close relatives. While the task of staying and showing their respect sounds simple enough the enormity of the family and the friction among some of the members, the task is going to be nowhere near easy. The movie tries to showcase the familial bonding that one share’s, even after having some dicey moments with their loved ones, and aims to do so with few comic scenes here and there.

Movie Review: 'The Little Things'
The trailer for the new Denzel Washington-Rami Malek thriller, The Little Things, rubs me the wrong way. It’s similar to when you’re listening to a song and they strike a bad chord and you wince almost imperceptibly. That’s me every time I see the trailer for The Little Things and Denzel Washington blames the murdered woman on a morgue slab in front of him for getting herself killed.
