The AI Debate
The hum of conversation and the clatter of cups filled the small coffee shop. Sarah sat by the window, idly scrolling through her phone. It was a rainy Saturday, perfect for staying in, but Jake had convinced her to meet up. They hadn't hung out in weeks, and Sarah was looking forward to catching up-though she already knew what the topic of discussion would be.

DNR. Content Warning.
(A/N: this specific version of this song is part of the intro to my favorite horror game, “Until Dawn”. The song is very haunting and I love it. But there is a long gap between the first verse and the second, which makes sense when playing the game but is kind of annoying when listening to just the song. Just so you know.)

Thrown into the Empty
He closed the door behind him. This was the last time she saw him. All he had to do now is wait. he already made a decision. All he had to do is not think about it again. He was on the way to death. It was a long way, but someone was dropping him there. "Just don't think about it again", he thought to himself. Sleep seemed like a good idea for a second. But before he closed his eyes, he quickly decided against it. He usually liked sleeping in the car. Especially on a cold rainy night like tonight. When he first met her, when they were kids, this time was the time he would enjoy her company in his mind. He would rest his head on the cold car window, the cold touching his cheek. He would let his mind take him back to the sweet moments he had with her since the last time he saw her. Those moments kept replaying, causing an unbreakable smile in his face. Until he saw her again, they were sufficient. Then he would daydream of moments that never happened, moments he hoped to turn into reality the next time he saw her. It made him eager to.

One Morning
One morning while out on the creek I was paddling along. Just enjoying the quiet of the morning. Then all of the sudden there was this horrible honking that would not stop. Here I am in the middle of creek with nobody around for miles. I looked around, but I didn't see any geese around. The road was far away too. I kept paddling and at the same time was looking for what could have made that honking noise. I have heard that there could be Herons located around this creek and it could have been them. I think they make a honking noise.

Bethan Reborn
Bethan I can't believe he hung up! I tried again but it's always voicemail. I left a message: "Dave, you may not want to talk but I wouldn't have reached out unless I needed your help. Just text me, if you like. I just want to know the names of the boys. If you can remember them, please just text them to me and then I promise, I will never bother you again."
