One Morning

morning (pexels.com)

One morning while out on the creek I was paddling along. Just enjoying the quiet of the morning. Then all of the sudden there was this horrible honking that would not stop. Here I am in the middle of creek with nobody around for miles. I looked around, but I didn't see any geese around. The road was far away too. I kept paddling and at the same time was looking for what could have made that honking noise. I have heard that there could be Herons located around this creek and it could have been them. I think they make a honking noise.

As I steadily paddled down the creek, I did hear a few more honks but not a loud as the first ones that really startled me after all the quiet time. The sun has fully rose and now I heard right there are two herons on the creek making a nest. I guess while they were building, they had a disagreement of sorts. They seemed to have settled, and I turned the canoe around and paddled back up the creek and headed for home. I seem to always learn and see something fantastic on this creek. Good morning.

Very beautiful and soothing story, with a lovely message of love. I like the worshipful element of nature.
