A Partial Family Reunion
The rescue officer did not see or hear anyone else on the street so he pulled the boat with the two children towards the dry land where their mother was waiting for them. When she could see clearly that Mario and Anya were safely in the rescue boat nearing her, she smiled and sighed relieved. As soon as reach was accomplished, Fig scooped up Anya from the boat as the officer helped Mario out of the boat at the same time.

Public Schools and Private Schools are supposed to be different
I went to public school from Kindergarten to my Senior (12th grade) graduation. I had some family members who attended private school and I did have one teaching job at a private school. There are differences in public school and private school education, and I always thought that was a good thing. Home schooling is totally unique and as a tutor I wish to refrain at this time from including that education in this comparison.

Great Cast, Bad Movie
As a long long long time fan of both Batman and Superman, I was very very very upset and disappointed with the movie: "Batman vs. Superman". I don't know who to be more upset with - Director Zack Snyder or the writers Chris Terrio and David Goyer. Sometimes new, fresh, and different is a great idea. In this case, it was just absolutely horrible.

Do you still like shopping at the mall?
Sometimes change is wonderful and we love the transformation. Sometimes change is unwanted and we mourn for what was replaced. I went to Countryside Mall today (Thursday, October 24, 2024) to look around and see what I could see. I had been upset with the mall shoppers and Hooters attendees because I thought perhaps emergency responses to the Hurricane's destruction should be higher on the priority list. However, as I walked around the mall today, I realized that the people who are out there supporting any business (large or small) are doing very good work and I apologize for my snide comments.

A Tense Rescue
The rescue boat officer pulled the boat as close to the house front door as he could get it safely. He secured it by tying a rope around a tree. Then he trudged through the water to the front door that was slightly opened. He opened the door wider and called for the children.

Mario and Anya, two smart kids
The officer instructed Fig to stay put with the other people on dry land while they took the rescue boat back into the flooded street to pick up Fig's kids and any others they could see. Fig was worried that her kids would not respond to the help since she had told them not to open the door.

The USA is now Germany
I had speculated that 21st century's twenties would be something like the flapper age with more pragmatism, but I think I was wrong. Considering what I've seen and heard about recent events in 2024 (Natural disasters, lunatic criminals, and more and more converts to ex-patriotism) I believe that those who see Trump as a Hitler type are probably correct. Don't get me wrong, I am not guessing in this manner to be offensive to either man. I just looked up the name "Trump" and it is of English and German heritage. Very interesting.
