The USA is now Germany
The Multiverse of Inglorious Bastards

I had speculated that 21st century's twenties would be something like the flapper age with more pragmatism, but I think I was wrong. Considering what I've seen and heard about recent events in 2024 (Natural disasters, lunatic criminals, and more and more converts to ex-patriotism) I believe that those who see Trump as a Hitler type are probably correct. Don't get me wrong, I am not guessing in this manner to be offensive to either man. I just looked up the name "Trump" and it is of English and German heritage. Very interesting.
As a fan of etimology, I have often compared dialects, accents, and word and name origins. I know there are lots of differences in various languages, but from my limited research and experience I have noted that most of my common knowledge of American English stems from Germanic roots, Latin roots, and Greek roots. Americans may have published some literature like Urban Dictionaries or Acronym Bibles, but generally American English has evolved from German, Latin, and Greek. Any English or American word lover who does their research should agree.
I mention the origin of the USA's verbal and written communications because as Wokism is now a serious movement in our culture, I think it's important to remember some of the lessons learned in public school history textbooks. I'm sure I'm not the only GenXr who remembers some of the lessons about WW1 and WW2 and Nazi Germany. I wonder though... Did the revolutionary Germans who tore down the Berlin wall also destroy statues of King Conrad IV or Emperor Francis II or Emperor Wilhelm? Or did the Germans of the 1930s and 1940s not even know their own history?
Many travelers and some of Jewish heritage have visited Germany and gone to Auschwitz to peruse the museum depicting the tragedies their ancestors suffered during such perilous times. I remember thinking about Auschwitz when I sat in the American jail cell reading the eviction notice on my 47th birthday. It was the funniest birthday card I had ever received. Perhaps the most appropriate accompanying gift would have been a book by Elie Weisel. Sadly, "Night" was not in the library, so I didn't get to read it. A sadder joke is my fascination with 80s parachute pants. Perhaps it's because I'm terrified of the word "evict".
I wonder if the America of 2024 would have so much to say in regards to politics if the candidates running for President were Elie Weisel or Soren Kierkegaard. Do you know them? Who would you vote for? The Jew who became an Atheist or the Danish theologian who became known as the first Christian existentialist? Tough call? Yeah, I know. It's like deciding who's sexier - Angelina Jolie as the Tomb Raider or Trinity in the Matrix? Shrug. Does it matter? As long as you get laid, right? Hey, roll another one. It might not even be illegal after November 4th. Don't worry about employment or homelessness. I'm sure you can get a pair of parachute pants on Ebay.
Well, I'm not that great at writing satire, but I do love sarcasm. I'm not in the same league as Alexander Pope, but I do admire his work. If you like my writing, I sure would love a donation. Or maybe you know a mechanic who could fix my car for free?
