PEPPERMINT 🍬
Her Momma named her Peppermint, on account of how she loved the smell of peppermint when she was carrying her. Now, Pepper had done some bad things in her life, one of them was happening right now. She was on the run from the law. Trevor's house had burned, and she had whooped, hollered and danced in front of it, while chugging down his best bottle of whiskey from the locked cabinet. Pepper had used the axe to pry it open while he slept, he had always been a dead sleeper. Then she broke all the other expensive liquor bottles, flicked the lighter on his bundle of clothes and watched as it slowly ignited. As the curtains burned, she smashed the last bottle on his door and ran outside, did her jig and took off in his jeep when he woke up and started yelling.

The old man
He would sit on the old rickety porch every morning whenever a bit of sun peeked from the overcast sky. Most other days he just sat by the window and stared out at the almost invisible roadway, rendered unrecognizable by the sheer volume of snow which just kept falling. The stark bare trees seemed to mimic his life, mocking his solitude.

#6. The Bear...Epilogue
Tears streamed down my face as I made my way towards the abandoned campsite. I stumbled ahead blindly, tripping over obstacles buried beneath the snow. Despite my heavy heart, the snow-covered landscape offered a starkly breathtaking majesty, fresh snow covered everything, and the sun shone prismatic between my tears and the leafless branches of the trees.

Chapter 3. Bear. Survival
The snow had stopped falling. I awoke realizing that I must have slept for hours as I opened my eyes to the starkness and beauty of the winter landscape. I winced as pain stabbed through my entire body. The tiniest of movement was like a million knives of shooting pain.
