Time has set alight the flames of our hearts
Like an inferno burning a conflagrated firestorm
igniting and becoming an accomplice to our souls
making muses of masqueraded untrue shallow love
blinding our dimmed eyes with pretty lies
With emboldened spirit, I reach for the God-light
forgetting at times that I am blinded by such oddities,
Yearning for fervent passion in strength and hope
I fight to live and love within moments of truth
hearing without ears, seeing without eyes
beyond the range of sight and sound
Ancient harmony pierces my consciousness
lightening brings thunderous gladdening of hope
As my serenity sparks, speaking in lofty tones
Time gallops along, while in eternity I stand
Vexing fragrances wafting scented upon perfumed tongues
my body throbbing to the pulses of my blessed soul
For if God nods my way, should the world not all be mine
My heart has set alight the flames of time........

There are some beautiful lines in here, like “making muses of masqueraded untrue shallow love”, and the imagery is very strong throughout. This is a thought-provoking poem, which makes the reader think 👏
