Corbyn: Still Around.. Content Warning.
The former leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn is no longer in the Party. Mr. Corbyn was part of the Labour Party for many years. The veteran left-winger spoke on and speaks on many subjects anything from the Middle East to nuclear disarmament. The left-winger was a thorn in the side of many a Tory government and even the more right-leaning Labour Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

Sky's Beth Rigby Hosts The Starmer and Sunak Show.. Content Warning.
As far as I know, there have only been two people on TV with the surname Rigsby. One was a lecherous landlord in a 1970s comedy: 'Rising Damp' played by Leonard Rossiter. The character hosted two male students and a mature lady in a run-down bedsit. The Landlord, Rigsby, was always trying to flatter and seduce Miss Jones (the mature woman) played by Frances De La Tour. Rigsby was often scathing of His two younger student tenants played by Richard Beckinsale (father of the actress Kate Beckinsale) and Don Warrington. Often, Rigsby would try to outsmart them as an older man against two younger men. However, Rigsby often came unstuck as the two younger men often got the better of him.

Penny Mordaunt: Next Tory Leader?
Penny Mordaunt is possibly the replacement for Sunak, should he as seems likely, lose the election. Penny did try for the leadership before but was beaten by the ill-fated Liz Truss. When Sunak became the Prime Minister Penny became a minister in his cabinet. Penny is the MP for Plymouth which has a proud naval reputation. Plymouth is still the home of the Royal Navy to this day. Penny Herself is also or was, a naval reservist.

Farage Meets McDonald Milkshake!
Nigel Farage wasn't meant to be standing as a candidate in this general election. He was largely going to let Reform's leader, Richard Tice, also a candidate in the general election, get on with it. Farage would campaign for Reform and fly out to the States to help His Royal Orangeness, Donald Trump.

If Keir Starmer is looking at the latest polls commissioned by 'YouGov' for Sky News, He would have much to celebrate. Labour is now 27 points ahead of the Conservatives. This erases a small drop in the Labour lead at the end of last week.

Aftermath of Raisi's Death.
The death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the death of the Foreign Minister must have shaken the Iranian nation to its core. Despite the current Ayatollah telling people not to worry society would carry on. One wonders if the elderly Ayatollah was saying that more for himself than the people of Iran. The regime is stable but has faced demonstrations over women's rights and other factors. Iran cracked down hard on demonstrators but the anti-Islamic movement has not gone away. Opponents of the regime have been openly saying they are glad Raisi is gone.

Doctor Who: Fans Not Happy.
Doctor Who is either something you like or not. If you don't like it then you will never really understand the stories. If you like it in sci-fi terms its been the best thing since sliced bread (although some Trekkies might disagree). The Doctor with two hearts is a time-space travelling alien. His race is humanoid and their home world is the planet Gallifrey. The Time Lords the Doctor's people, are masters of space and time, hence their name. The Doctor though when it comes to his people has always been a bit of a maverick and loner. Much, to the displeasure of his people. His greatest enemy known as 'The Master' is also a renegade Time Lord who as opposed to the Doctor goes around the universe causing nothing but mayhem. Two of the Doctor's greatest enemies are the Cybermen and the Daleks.

Zelenskyy Cancels Trip.
President Zelensky had to cut short a trip to Portugal and Spain. Mr. Zelensky was believed to be signing a defence agreement with both countries. Mr. Zelensky, however, cancelled the trip when it became clear Russian forces were bearing down on the city of Kharkiv. Kharkiv is a major city in Ukraine just down the road from the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv Should Kharkiv fall to Russian forces that would put Ukraine in a dangerous position. Therefore, from Zelensky's point of view, while getting support from abroad is important, Zelensky must be mindful of the home front.
