Starmer Talks to Trump.
Sir Keir Starmer spoke to President Trump on the telephone last night. They spoke at length, according to a Downing Street Spokesman, about Greenland and the tanker Bella 1 or Marinera. Sir Keir Starmer's view on Greenland is in line with other European leaders. That is, they stand with the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Ms. Frederiksen has said that if the US were to invade Greenland, it would be the end of NATO. And rightly so, Denmark and America are NATO Allies. It would be a literal stab in Denmark's back if America went ahead and invaded Denmark. How can a friendship stand when your close friend has done something to offend you? That would be the case between the US and Denmark over Greenland. It would only embolden people like Putin.

Putin Dispatches Naval Vessels.
Vlad "The Invader" Putin (taken from Vlad "The Impaler" Tepes) has officially stepped into the situation between America and Venezuela on the high seas. It seems the capture of Nicolas Maduro, who is now facing trial in New York, crossed a red line for Russia. Maduro and Putin are close allies, and Maduro's successor, Delcy Rodriguez, will be just as close with her Russian counterpart.

Mette Frederiksen: Greenland isn't Yours!
Trump has always been obsessed with Greenland. During his first term, he mentioned it then. Now, in his second coming, President Trump stated the US needs Greenland for defence. Mentioning Russian and Chinese ships that pass that way. Of course, one has to take into account the minerals that lie under the snow that covers Greenland. So is Trump's interest merely for defence or business or both? The irony of it is that Greenland already has a US military base there with the permission of Denmark.

New Year, Really?
I don't know what you did on New Year's Eve, but I was sitting listening to my neighbour rattling my house with his bass-dominated tunes. Obviously, the guy and his Mrs have a right to party, but is it really necessary to blast my wall down like the trumpeters from Jericho? Thumping bass and the volume turned up so loud that it distorts the music. Mind you, whether you can call it music is another thing. But hey, Im biased, each to their own, I guess.

The Blues Brothers: Same Blue Suits.
Trump and Netanyahu stood like two twins. Both were dressed in blue suits, white shirts, and red ties. They looked like they were entertainment managers at some British holiday camp like Butlins. The chemistry between them seemed warm and jovial as always.

Netanyahu Recognises Somaliland.. Content Warning.
Benjamin Netanyahu has formally recognised Somaliland as an autonomous and independent nation. Somalia has responded angrily, saying the recognition of this area of Somalia was an "unlawful step". Somalia continued that this was "a deliberate attack" on its sovereignty. Also, labelling the Israeli recognition of Somaliland as "illegal aggression". And that it was "contrary to established legal and diplomatic rules". The European Union has called for "meaningful dialogue between Somalia and Somaliland". The US says it recognises only the territorial integrity of Somalia with Somaliland as part of Somalia.

Sky News Crew in Caracas.
A third of the US Navy is sitting just offshore from Venezuela. The huge task force sent by Trump is supposed to be interdicting drug vessels. Trump holds Maduro responsible for shipping drugs like fentanyl into the US. The US Navy has destroyed alleged drug boats, killing the crews, it is alleged, in the water. Certainly, if this is the case, Peter Hegseth is totally unrepentant.

The BBC Asked For It.
The BBC, when it doctored Trump's speech, knew exactly what it was doing. When Trump stood at the podium and told his followers, "To fight like hell"! The next moment, his followers stormed the Capitol Building in Washington. This is where the US Congress meets to certify the results of a presidential election. His followers stormed the building to disrupt the certification that Joe Biden had won.

Netanyahu: Exploiting Bondi Beach Attack?. Content Warning.
Let me be clear here, the attack on Bondi Beach by two Muslim killers with telescopic rifles on a Hannukkah or Festival of Lights gathering on Bondi Beach was evil. Jewish Australians had gathered on the famous beach to celebrate this religious festival, as is the right of every faith to celebrate its festivals. A father and son team with alleged links to the Islamic State took potshots as Jews dove for cover. A brave Muslim man, a former Syrian policeman, wrestled a gun off one of the attackers, the Father in this case. The attackers were a father and son team. Although some suspect a third man may have been involved. The Muslim man Ahmed al Ahmed is now in the hospital recovering from bullet wounds to his hand and arm.
