Can Kamala Harris Trump?
Biden Chooses Kamala Harris as His Successor.

When Joe Biden picked His running mate and potential VP (Vice-President) Ms. Harris was a shoo-in. She ticked all the boxes, she was female and a woman of colour. Her background is Jamaican and Indian, as she is South Asian (not Native American). Besides her mixed parentage, Kamala is a good ol' gal from the USA.
Ms. Harris stood to be the Democratic nominee but she was beaten and quickly dropped out. Conversely, Joe Biden resurrected her political career and she became Vice President when he beat Trump and became POTUS (President of the United States). Trump was crushed and he contested it saying the voting was rigged. However, Biden and Harris took their positions in the White House, to do the jobs, they were elected to do.
The period of Bidenism in the White House has been an eventful one. The first thing saw Biden evacuate American forces from Afghanistan. The evacuation of US and Allied forces reminded one of the withdrawal from Vietnam. Biden got all the blame, but he was merely instigating Trump's deal with the Taliban that for peace to prevail, US and NATO forces should pull out. The Allies left lock, stock, and barrel. The Afghan government and armed forces collapsed. Taliban forces quickly swarmed in and took over the country. The NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan looked like a defeat.
Lately, Joe Biden a staunch Zionist, has won praise and hatred for his backing of Israel, in its war with Hamas. At the same time, Biden has made sure that arms keep rolling in for Ukraine, in its ongoing war with Russia. So, what was the lovely (maybe to some) Ms. Harris doing all this time? She briefly stood in for Biden when he had a successful operation in hospital. What did we learn about Ms. Harris as successor to Biden? Well, not much, she was only the acting president for a short period. As soon as Biden was fit again, he took back the wheel of the good ship White House. Ms. Harris seemed to be forever in the background and you did not hear much from her.
Biden at 81, was ready to take on Trump on again. However, after a debate with Trump, many thought it was time for Biden to throw in the towel. Biden has come under much criticism for his bumbling and stumbling. He was forever falling, falling up steps attached to planes, falling off stages or falling on stage, and forgetting where he was or whom he was with. This gave his enemies a rod to metaphorically beat him with. The narrative was that Biden was too senile and old to run the US. Given Biden's age, they probably had a point.
Such critics have been sadly proved correct. And, when I say sadly, I mean it. To see the decline of a human being mentally and physically is not a pretty sight. The straw that broke the camel's back was when Biden got Trump mixed up with Kamala Harris. Calling Trump his VP (Vice-President) and calling Trump a woman of colour. Then he called Zelenskky Putin another massive gaffe. Zelenskky forgave Biden but politically for Biden the writing was on the wall.
Biden said he would fight on to be the Democratic nominee. However, last night Biden agreed to drop out of the nomination process to be the Democrat's man to be President. Calls had come thick and fast by his opponents and supporters to quit. Finally, Biden heeded those calls not just for the sake of his party, but for his dignity.
Biden said he will see out his term as President. Biden has nominated Kamala as his successor and it is doubtful anyone will challenge her. Just as Trump got the backing of the Republicans at their convention Ms. Harris should get the Democratic backing at their convention to take on Trump. Harris has been mocked as a hair-head and for laughing when asked a serious question.
Donald Trump and his VP J D Vance, do not see Kamala as a serious threat. However, to brush her off as such, may not be a good strategy. Yes, Trump and Vance are way out in the lead. It seems the Trump-Vance team-up cannot be stopped. However, those who scorned Biden seemed to have changed their minds about the Democrats beating Trump in November. There is new hope as Bill Clinton has also backed Harris. However, bigwigs like Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have stopped short of backing Ms. Harris. That said, donations for the Democrat's war chest to take on the Republicans are coming in thick and fast.
As things stand now, Trump and Vance, have much popular support. A Trump return to the White House seems to be a dead cert. However, strange things can happen. Many anti-Trump voters who despise Harris may vote for her to keep Trump out. In the upcoming race for the White House in November neither side should take it for granted they will win.
