Sir Keir Reacts!. Content Warning.
Trump's tariffs on the UK will hurt us. With 25% of tariffs imposed on UK car exports to the US. However, Trump likes the UK, and we have only been hit with 10% tariffs on other British goods. The EU has been hit with 25% tariffs, and China has been hit with 54%. Business Secretary Jonathon Reynolds said the hit to British car exports would hurt our economy.

Rachel Reeves: No Trade Wars with Trump.. Content Warning.
Donald Trump, with His "America First" policy, is obsessed with tariffs. The President might as well be called Donald 'Tariff' Trump. During his first term in the White House, DT was obsessed with tariffs. Taxing imports into America is supposedly protecting American industry. As to whether it does, I don't know; I am not an economist. Producers of goods exporting to the USA, like China and Europe, will be paying high taxes on goods.

Liz Kendall: Welfare Reforms Ahead.. Content Warning.
Labour in their manifesto said they would be reforming a failing welfare system. People on benefits are not just out of work, but also those in work. People always wrongly assume the benefits system exists for those not in employment. While that is true, many working people also access the benefits system.

Steve Witkoff: Attacks Starmer's Ukraine Plan.. Content Warning.
Sir Keir Starmer's plan for peace between Ukraine and Russia is called "The Coalition of the Willing". I am sure somewhere, the invasion of Iraq in 2003 was called that, correct me if I am wrong. I digress, this plan is backed and pushed not only by the UK, but President Macron. This plan would see European and NATO soldiers on the ground in Ukraine. Of course, you have to reach a peace deal first. Then, allowing troops on the ground from NATO could not happen if 'Vlad The Invader' wasn't accepting.

Trump: What's The Point?. Content Warning.
Before and after Trump came into office the 'POTUS' promised peace would come on his watch. He said, during the Biden administration, that the Hamas-Israel and the Ukrainian-Russian conflict would not have happened, on His watch.

Ashfield: A Guinea Pig Town.. Content Warning.
Sir Keir Starmer says the welfare bill is "Indefensible". He will shake up the system to cut welfare spending, strengthen efforts to get people into work and protect those who cannot work. This massive bill that could be better spent elsewhere or saved for something better, makes sense. This policy is very Conservative which goes hand in hand with my article. Yesterday when I said Sir Keir, was heading right politically. The effort to claim PIP to help the sick in their daily lives is already tough to get onto. Now the Prime Minister aims to make it even tougher. So the question is, is he doing that to ensure only the illest amongst us get it or conversely, to save money? Possibly, it is both but one cannot say with any assurance.

Starmer Heads Right?. Content Warning.
No one would have believed when Labour won the general election in July that Sir Keir would move to the right. Sir Keir promised something completely different (to quote Monty Python) from what had gone before. Sir Keir was to have a human rights view on foreign policy. Sir Keir promised to bin everything the Tories had done before. Sir Keir, promised a "politics of service" upon entering office. Sir Keir inherited broken public services, overflowing prisons, and that old chestnut: immigration.

Will Putin Accept Trump Peace Deal?. Content Warning.
The Russians are gaining more territory in Ukraine. The Russians have threatened action against foreign troops in Ukraine. Sir Keir Starmer said Western boots might be on the ground. Of course, both sides in this conflict have to agree to that. The Ukrainians wouldn't have a problem with that as that would be helpful to them. As for the Russians, that would be a massive "NO". In any ceasefire agreed to by both sides, the UK and France might deploy troops into Ukraine (if and it is a big 'IF' if the Russians agree). Conversely, the Americans have opted not to do that in any ceasefire agreement.

Cometh The Hour, Cometh The Man?. Content Warning.
Mark Carney will be sworn in as Canada's PM in a few days. He is no stranger to danger. Carney ran the Bank of England like he was the leader of a nation. Carney steered the UK through the days of Brexit. Both jobs were testing yet Carney at the helm, steadied the good ship UK. It is difficult to know anyone in private, however, Carney remained calm and focused when facing the media.

Ukraine Hope: Attack Drones!
Everything at least from the Trump administration seems to be unravelling for Vlodymir Zelenskyy. Trump showed the Ukrainian leader the door after a fallout between the two. Consequently, Zelenskyy flew into the UK for talks with Keir Starmer and other European leaders. All European leaders said they would continue to back Ukraine. Sir Keir Starmer believes that US support, whether for peace or militarily, is essential!
