Mark Carney has a rather good CV. Mr. Carney's background in finance is impeccable, and theoretically, if he doesn't know about finance, no one else will. Mr. Carney was the Head of the Bank of Canada. He was also the first non-Briton to be Head of the Bank of England. So, now Mr. Mark Carney is the Prime Minister of Canada after winning the general election.

Tory Leader Rules Out Reform Pact.
Kemi Badenoch was speaking to Sky's Trevor Phillips on Sunday. The local elections are coming up on Thursday, and they will be a test for every party. It will be the first elections since the general election of last year. Kemi Badenoch inherited a party kicked out of office after 14 years of misrule. They abused their right to rule and initiated a set of policies that broke Britain, even more so! David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak brought disaster, deprivation, destruction, and depravity to the UK.

Sky News has obtained a leaked audio recording of shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick discussing how he could see Reform UK and the Conservatives working together. Whether it would be a working coalition as in a quest to form a government and defeat Labour is another thing. Jenrick was speaking to students at a gathering. The audio wasn't supposed to be leaked, but it was. On the other hand, Jenrick also said he hadn't given up on making Reform UK history. "Putting them out of business", to use his words. So that when it comes to local elections, the Conservatives are the only party on the right. However, Jenrick's task might not be as easy as he makes out.

Hegseth Should Be Sacked!. Content Warning.
Former military man, Fox News Presenter, and now Trump's Defence man has earned the ire of the Democrats. Information has been leaked about America's air attacks on Yemen, in the capital, Sanaa. Supposedly hitting Houthi targets, but in the process, civilians have been killed and injured. It is a sustained campaign, unlike the pin-prick attacks that Biden launched or that Israel launched. Day after day, American planes are hitting targets. The planes fly from aircraft carriers on sorties. However, despite the relentless American air campaign, the Houthis are doubling down. They are still firing missiles and drones at Israel and trying to hit American warships. Also, attacking international shipping continues.

People, at least in the West, of course, there are exceptions, are living longer, eating better, living in homes, and driving the latest cars. We have iPhones/Android phones, social media, AI, etc.

Why are we ignoring Easter in the UK? Easter is, besides Christmas, one of the most important events in Christendom. Never mind which denomination we belong to or what calendar we follow, Easter is celebrated by all churches. The story of Jesus and His last supper, where He proclaimed the breaking of bread and the drinking of red wine. This represented the breaking of His body on the cross and His blood, which He shed. It also represents the Third Day, upon which he arose, defeating death and ascending to His Father in Heaven. His followers are promised eternal life, salvation, and redemption.

Labour Peer Harriet worked for two Labour prime ministers: Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. She now sits in the House of Lords and was speaking to Sky's Beth Rigby. She recalled how George W. Bush unleashed tariffs on steel imports. Back then, she remembers Tony Blair disagreeing with Bush, even though they had a growing bromance. Blair had the guts to tell Bush to his face that imposing tariffs was against World Trade Organisation rules.

President Trump waxed lyrical about wanting Americans to buy American goods. Trump, during his first term and 2.0 now, threatened everyone with tariffs. China, China, China, was and is a mantra for the Orange One. Trump probably sleep talks those words too. In Trump's mind, all the ills of the world are China's fault. If it rains or if Trump slips in the shower, President Xi masterminded it. Just like Trump's buddy Bibi Netanyahu blames Hamas for this and Hamas for that. These two guys really need to get a life and find a hobby.

Iran and The US: Talks in Oman.. Content Warning.
Trump was meeting his partner in crime, Bibi Netanyahu, in the White House. It's the usual thing with Trump when entertaining world leaders. Both leaders were sitting in the usual gold material chairs. Their teams sat on either side of them. The world's press was asking both dictators, sorry leaders, questions. Netanyahu waxed lyrical about how Trump was the best friend for Israel of all US Presidents. Trump kept shaking Netanyahu's hand again and again. Trump had discussed tariffs, Gaza, Iran, and other issues with Netanyahu. Both men will be walking shoulder to shoulder on all issues. Israel and the US, especially with Trump in the White House, are lockstep together. Israel is the apple of the US's eye, and that was the case with Biden, too. Israel's relationship with the US is even greater than with the UK. "Well, thanks USA, we in the UK, because of our shared history, should be closer, but apparently not"!

Trump was the go-to man before becoming President. He was held up by many Americans as the alternative to Biden. He was the man who was going to get rid of forever wars like quagmires in Afghanistan. He was going to end the Ukraine-Russia war and the Hamas-Israel war. He was going to put America first. He has grand designs on Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Canal. He was going to bring an end to so-called Woke culture. Make Christian prayer and beliefs prominent again. Trump was going to deal with illegal immigration into the USA.
