Lifeless Life
A place where fading memories float A residence where I built my paper boat Rooms where the kid in me was BRIGHT Shouted into the pillow, when scared, would hide The plant that I watered every day The pots that I carved, made with clay Curtains would make a path to the MOON The windows reflected light, 'til it was noon The sky from the yard would tell it's MINE The stars at night would sing me a rhyme The universe was happy, and so was I Why didn't I know life ahead is a LIE?
