Winnie Meets Paddington
Okay, what would happen if Winnie met Paddington on a seesaw? Well, here it goes. Here we go up and down, up and down, says Pooh. Yes, we certainly are up and down, says Paddington. It is almost time for a break, Paddington told Pooh. Why don't we stop the seesaw and have a snack that we can share. Okay, Pooh said. I hope you like marmalade. I hope you like honey. They both said at the same time. They sat on a log and had their snack. They rested and headed back to the seesaw to have more fun.

The Curtain
Hello there. I am a beige curtain hanging from a window that has shutters on the outside. I believe the window is open, but there is not a draft to be felt. Oh, so I like to wave in the wind. It is such a nice feeling, and it shakes off the dust that accumulates so fast. I thought that shutters would keep some of the dust outside. Hey, I am right here, and I try but when I am open how I am supposed to do what you want. Cut me a break. Maybe they will shut me nightly.

The Typewriters
Typewriters are still wonderful tools if you like a slower pace for writing, but some typewriters kind of have a life of their own. Old manual ones have that clickety-clack when typing then there came what was known as a Selectric typewriter that still clickety-clicked just a little bit faster with a lighter touch. The manual typewriter looked over to the Selectric typewriter and said in his way "What's your hurry?" "You got to move fast in this world if you want to make it." Selectric said. We typewriters must look out for we will become obsolete one day soon.

The Chalkboard
What is a blackboard or some would call a chalkboard? This is an object that is in many classrooms at all levels and there are even some in many homes for many reasons. The chalkboard is a means of communication that shows the written word along with the spoken word, as it is a visual aid to the teacher to share a lesson on many subjects. Did we way back when really listen to what the teacher said or wrote on the board and learned what we needed to survive when we grew into adulthood. Just think for a minute.

The library
Oh, the world of books when one enters this to me a sacred place. It is a place of wonder. The librarian is the person that can lead you on this incredible journey of learning or just to have fun in picking up a book. When one picks up a book at the suggestion of the librarian at times there is a sense of belonging and understanding of one's interests. There are tables and comfortable chairs for once you find that book of interest you enter a new world of learning and/or a way to have fun and relax too.

The Snowy Road
There was a snowy road that is not traveled very much for the bend in the road leads to a steep downhill grade. When one travels this road, one begins to think why is it here it really does not lead anywhere. It was here for a purpose in the past we all think that it was one route for a stagecoach route for it did lead to an old town that is not there anymore except for one falling down shack that no one knows what it was used for then. So, travel safe along this road of history.

The House
There was an old house sitting out in the country. It hasn't been lived in for quite some time. Some say it was owned by a woman that just couldn't let go of it. Over the years the doors fell off and the windows broke and they fell out. The yard became overgrown and turned brown along with the tree that stood out front even withered and died. The women owner still did not want to give up the house of where she grew up. If you look through the open windows and doors, you will see a family picture.

The Carol Burnett Show
I was just watching an old episode of a television variety show known as 'The Carol Burnett Show' on Yahoo.com. I remember watching this show as a young child with my parents and siblings. The episode that I was watching was when Tim Conway was on the show for the second time. He wasn't a regular part of the cast yet. Not sure of the exact date of this episode but I think it was the early 1970's for Carol was wearing a skirt that was crocheted and making jokes about it. From what I was able to watch Harvey Korman played Col. Flanders and Carol played a character that was interviewing him. 'The Carol Burnett Show' always made fun of various commercials of the time as well as even having song and dance times with her guest stars. These were the days of the prime-time variety shows as well as a few daytime shows that were like Carol's show like 'The Mike Douglas Show' or even 'The Merv Griffin Show' if I remember right for that show was on after I had to go to bed at 9PM for it was usually on a school night. Who thinks these kinds of shows would make it on television today for they were quite fun to watch especially Carol's show.

The Gray Door
Walking down the road where there is a cottage with a gray door, I always seem to notice flowers of some kind. One thing this cottage is empty on all accounts: when you look in the windows no furniture, nothing in the yard and no people. You begin to wonder who places all the flowers by the door. It does make the little cottage homey in appearance. If one listens really carefully the cottage says "Come live in me, I will make you feel comfortable for you and your family, but don't forget place some flowers by the door, okay.

Flying
While sitting in an old gazebo in the woods on a cold yet warm day I saw a bird and a few friends fly by into the sun. Then when I looked down at the path there were bird tracks in snow and I got up and followed them. I looked around but no other birds for the tracks just ended. On this snowy, cold, but warm day thanks to the sun I continued down the path and it circled around to the old, gray gazebo in the woods. You can sit for hours watching the bird flying by it.

Moving
On a gray and cold day one winter I remember moving along slowing at best through the snowy woods. I saw squirrels running amuck up and down trees and birds flying all around. As I continued trudging through the snowy woods, I could feel the freezing winds right through my coat. I kept moving along, and then I saw some tracks that I decided to follow. Just a little way I saw a deer pawing at the snow. What sights you will see and hear while moving through the woods on a snowy yet very cold and windy winters day.
