Elections
What does it really mean to be elected to anything? This is an election year where we all or most of us will vote and elect a new President for the next four years. To be elected one must want to help your fellow man make their lives better some way like making sure one has a job, be able to care for themselves and their families, make sure that laws and regulations are fair for all. The person elected must think how actions of one will affect the many. This is also a person that must think on a social, economic, educational, religious/spiritual and yes even a political mindset in order to solve many issues that they will be confronted with in their new job. When a person walks into a voting booth there are a lot of levers to make a choice, so go in look for the candidate that fits in with what you would like most to happen in this country is it making sure children and whomever gets a good education, better health care or even more and better housing for families, etc. Voting this year or in any year is a task that requires one to think before acting.

Waiting!?
Who really likes to wait on things? My name is Teddy, and I like to swing, but I have to wait for my little kid to come back from getting his snack his mommy wants to give him. I hope he comes back soon I miss him. I think he is coming back now and there is a lollipop sticking out of his mouth. I hope he doesn't make my fur all sticky with that thing. Here he is and gives me one big push and WEEEEEE! That was fun now hope he joins me on the swing mommy pushes.

It's me again.
Look into my eyes what do you see or what do you think you see? I know that my eyes are brown, and I believe that most bears' eyes are brown. Could I be thinking about something? I was thinking about going to the river for dinner and a bath, but that is a dream of mine for I am a teddy bear not a real bear and teddy bears really do not eat or drink, but we do dream about things, and we make great listeners for our owners even though at times our owners talk too much now.

Just Look At Me
Just look at me what do you think I am thinking about. Do you think I am angry or something else that I do not know how to explain. I was just laying around minding my own business when this swarm of bees started to come around me for absolutely no reason. I didn't have any honey stuck to my fur or anything that would draw them to me. What could the reason be? I looked around and I still do not know why they are buzzing around me this time. Can you help me figure it out now, please?

Nebraska
Just finished for the second time a historical fiction novel titled 'Nebraska' by Dana Fuller Ross that is Book Two of the Wagons West series. Book Two picks up in Independence where Cathy says good-bye to her sister Claudia and brother-in-law Sam. Cathy Van Ayl and Whip Holt and the first wagon train to Oregon start to head across the Great Plains of what will be Nebraska. There will be a lot of ups and downs as their journey progresses whether personal of professional in nature. There is a lot of treachery going on behind the scenes being committed by emissaries from Great Britain and Russia as well as from several of the Indian nations that hope to stop Westward expansion of the United States.

Who remembers????
Who remembers all the commercials back in the 1970's about stopping forest fires and stopping all sorts of pollution? There were a lot of them especially on Saturday mornings. When I was much younger and watching Saturday morning cartoons there were always these characters from a Native American Indian, I think, his name was 'Iron Eyes Cody' I'm not sure of his tribe though, but the commercial always showed him walking through the woods admiring nature, then having approached a highway and walking through trash and seeing a car drive by and the people just throwing their trash out the car window the camera pans back to him with a close-up of him with a tear running down his cheek.

The Great Alone
Kristin Hannah has written another great book that will take you back in time to the early 70's and 80's and into the future of Alaska. This novel is titled 'The Great Alone' and is the story of Leni and Cora Allbright and how they survived physically and emotionally as mother and daughter with a husband and father that they loved but were also afraid of a lot of the time. Leni and Cora made a lot of friends that would have helped them any way that they could.

Jams and Jellies
Here are four friends of two different families one is from Jams and the others are from Jellies. Their names are Raspberries and Sour Cherries. All four thought that they could be related somehow. They started to ask some questions. "What is the difference between jam and jelly?" "Does it really matter to us?" They heard that one is 'thicker' than the other is that so. They sat around and thought and thought about this and figured out that they were all delicious. Jams liked Jellies and Jellies liked Jams and they decided not to wonder why any more now.

A Party of Books
Have you ever wondered what the books do after the library closes at night? I believe that all the books have a party of sorts. The reference books are the leaders who every once in a while like to relax and read some fiction. The fiction novels like to learn things and ideas and the reference books share their information. Other areas of the library like the children's section gets a little overly excited and has to be quieted down so the classic novels and poetry books share their material that seems to work in bringing quiet to the library.

The mixer and the blender
This is a story of two appliance cousins a blender and a stand-up mixer. The blender seems to think that he is the better of the two, and the mixer says that he is. Who's is better? The blender can combine, blend, crush, etc., but the mixer says that he can do that to, and he can do a lot more in his bowl that you, the blender can do in that pitcher of yours. Then why doesn't your owner ever bring you out more often other than holidays? asked the blender. Good question the stand mixer wondered as well.

Happy Halloween!!!!
On Halloween Day one still has to be careful. Out walking her dog, she thought she heard some sort of noise. She hunched over her dog looking out from behind him. He was flinching yet but the look in his eyes he knew something was not right. The woman and dog starting to stand up straight and decided to walk but a quicker pace, but the feeling was not leaving. She looked around and around to make sure no body was behind. All of sudden it was eerily quiet and she wondered is this it to her dog, her friend.
