In The Field
Jessica Rose was walking the Scottish Highlands, taking in the beautiful scenery of huge cliffs, mountains and fields of green. There were flowers under trees and the sun shone bright, on that summer's afternoon; Jessica hadn't felt so at peace. Even the sun felt nice upon her skin, it was not too hot, as a chill breeze swept through the countryside. It was perfect, a beautiful day that was about to turn horrific!

Lethal Justice
There was once a middle aged man named Logan Wayne, he was obsessed with comic books from an early age, especially super hero stories that depicted powerful people wearing multiple coloured spandex. As a child he always fantasized about having different superpowers; telekinesis, invisibility, super strength and x-ray vision were just some of the fantasies he had. The first comics he read were bright, colourful and whimsical. Stories of proud men and women, who fought intergalactic alien overlords or giant beasts from below the ocean such as giant sea monsters. There were stories of cruel tyrants and super villains, who needed to be arrested or punished for their crimes. As Logan grew into adolescence, he began to read more gritty comic book stories. Ones where the villains were sadistic and unforgivably monstrous. Stories where the heroes had no choice but to kill the bad guys, because they were too dangerous to be kept alive. Once he reached his late twenties, Logan began reading hard boiled detective novels too, alongside the mature crime themed comics he had been collecting. The heroes were much darker, becoming vigilantes who worked outside of the law, carrying out a sort of illegal justice. They wore black clothes to blend in with the dark, usually depicted as hardened men in their late thirties to early forties, the type of guys who served in the army, went through the police force and saw some really messed up stuff. They were cool, leather jacket wearing heroes, who spent their time drinking whiskey by the bar, hunting down the most despicable scumbags imaginable. These gritty crime stories really spoke to Logan, who had lived his whole life in the gutters of Detroit, seeing criminals and drug dealers run rampant around his home city. He knew many of these bad guys got away with their evil, as the law system was easily abused, meaning many got away from actual punishment. Logan knew the sad reality of this world his whole life, choosing to ignore it until one day, he returned home after a long day's work only to realise his house had been broken into. He gasped in terror, racing inside his home, as the front door had been smashed open as if by some powerful superhero from one of the old comics he read. What he found Inside still haunts him to this day, his wife had been murdered, trying to defend their only son. Her name was Debra and she had been stabbed multiple times into her stomach, blood still poured from the mouth of her dead face, with little baby Robin still crying in the cot behind her. Logan raced to his son and cradled him in his arms, hushing Robin back to sleep. Once the baby was asleep, Logan called the police and a murder investigation was soon conducted.

The Murdle
Fictional horror story Camping is supposed to be fun, a nice callback to nature, a holiday for many who wish to get away from the world's troubles and city life. It is the classic campfire where people tend to share stories, roasting marshmallows and buffet foods for fun. Usually kids attend these events with their parents, typically fathers who teach them survival skills, even though this isn't really necessary in modern times. Sometimes it is simply nice to return to a more simple time, even if it's just for a week long break. However, it doesn't always turn out that way. On rare occasions, a camping trip can take an unimaginably horrible turn. You might remember forgetting your wallet out in the forests, or return home without your tent and other personal belongings, these hiccups are small in comparison to Simon's tale.

Death at the bank
Fictional murder mystery story. What a shock Bank Manager Carli Grace got when went downstairs, opened the bank vault only to find a dead body awaiting her. It wasn't how she expected her shift to end, especially not after such a long and exhausting day. Only for it to result in such horror was a horrible experience, one that she'd never ever forget! Carli raced upstairs and called the police immediately. When they arrived, an investigation into the murder was quickly looked into. The corpse in question was of a middle aged man, he was bald and fat, wearing a navy blue business suit. There weren't any cuts upon his body, or bruising to be found. Not even body examiners later on, back at the lab, could decipher any external injuries. At first it appeared as though the man had a fatal heart attack, or possibly stroke of some sorts that left him ultimately dead. Then as Detectives began to look into the identity of this man, they discovered that he was named Toni Cipriana, someone who had a lot of enemies within the city of New York.

Inside Job
Fictional murder mystery story. Who better to hide evidence than Miami's very best? This is the story of Detective Michael Lundy, a corrupt man who worked Homicide for years and years, covering his own tracks and fabricating evidence, imprisoning the wrong people to avoid getting caught. He was certainly sneaky and insidious, killing his victims in a number of different ways, as not to detect a pattern by other Detectives and brown nosing police Officers. He would stab people, choke people, drown some and even poison a few. He'd use kitchen knives, garden tools, his own fists and different types of rope. Michael liked to experiment, creating his own crime scenes to solve, as a way of boosting his career alongside getting away with murder.

Ritual of Death
Fictional horror story about an occult related murder In 1962, a young boy was walking around the Scottish countryside of Killin Village, just enjoying the summer sun and the peacefulness of nature. High flying birds were dancing in the air together, forming in and out of pretty shapes. Trees stood sparsely around the green fields he walked on, there seemed to be nothing but hills, slopes and little ponds around the area. That was until he saw a makeshift cross made out of wood, looking similar to that of a grave, but not quite. He didn't know what to make of it, so the boy got curious and decided to check the site up close, only to immediately regret it. The stink assaulted his nostrils first, before he saw it. The corpse. It was a woman, naked with her throat slit open, leaning limply upon the wooden structure. The boy cried and fled back into the village of Killin, he returned to his cottage and punched the door instead of knocking. His father slammed the door open, not expecting this rude visitor to be his teary eyed son.

Hit & Run
This is a fictional murder mystery tale about a Hit & Run incident. New York 2024, three young men were out drinking together one night, walking from nightclub to nightclub, stumbling in and out of the road. Many cars had beeped at them, Sam, Dan and Ben were their names. These three belonged to a gang known as The Snakes, a group of drug dealing scumbags that had hurt a lot of innocent people. The three friends had been involved in a number of shootouts in the past, often getting away with the crimes without any penalty. They were rowdy men, always shouting and demanding drinks at the bar. People were afraid and although they had many enemies, nobody dared mess with them. Ben was the leader of this small group, he called the shots and always carried heat with him, revealing the pistol in the holster around his belt; whenever anybody dared confront them. However the untouchable three soon met an unexpected end, as a speeding truck raced down the street the moment they crossed the road at approximately 3am in central Manhattan, running them over and killing the three men instantly. They were nothing but blood and gore after the impact, everyone screamed and when local police tried to write down the licence plate of the vehicle, the number came up unregistered, it was a fake plate. Somehow, the truck evaded the pursuing cops and CCTV found no footage of its whereabouts after the "accident", it was clearly an intentional vehicular homicide, the question was; by who?

The Revenge
This is a tale of revenge, about a young man who finally snaps one day, letting his frustrations vent, in the worst way possible. His whole life he always let people control him, never standing up for himself and demanding freedom. He always did exactly what his mother and father said, no matter how difficult. His wife bosses him around too, he had failed at dating a million women before her, so was willing to obey just to remain married. He had become weak willed, tired and still very timid of everything and everyone around him. This man was named William Smith and he had been moulded into a victim of modern society, where masculinity was frowned upon and he was often called a creep for daring to approach women, back when he was a single male. His wife, Romana Smith, knew exactly the type of guy William was and manipulated his every life decision since they had met. It was a mostly loveless marriage, that only lasted because they were financially dependent upon each other. Although it wasn't her that drove William mad with rage, it was all the horrible men who thought they were so much bigger and stronger than him, pushing him around when he was in work or out drinking back in his youth. For decades the humiliation of being thrown out of the nightclub in Runcorn old town, and then beaten by the doormen there, was something that still angered him to this day. It was all because he was a little "too drunk", or perhaps weakened by the alcohol, so they saw him as an easy target to pick on. He tried to report their abuse, but the owner, Mack Oaks, defended their corrupt security and called him the drunken idiot who deserved what happened to him. Oh, William refused to believe getting kicked around like a football was a worthy punishment, for simply having too much of a good time. He still had the scars from that attack from several years ago, before he met Romana and eventually got married. Yet it was still very much fresh in his mind. Another time, a few years later after he was assaulted outside the nightclub, William had a night job in a warehouse. The work environment was toxic. There was a supervisor who was also named Mack, who worked there. This guy was very different than the nightclub owner, but the name still unsettled William, who remembered the severe beating that boss allowed outside his club. So he ignored the name and continued working, but this second Mack would prove to be even more ruthless. This supervisor was an absolute tyrant, he'd order William about like a general and the shy young man would do whatever he asked. He felt worthless under Mack's rule, breaking his back lifting stock far too heavy and getting insulted on a weekly basis. It was pure slave labour and he couldn't stand it, William was eventually pushed to his limit and yelled back at his supervisor who then smacked William hard against the mouth for speaking out of line. William fled in terror and reported the abuse, but the company didn't believe him and fired William instead. This incident didn't result in a senseless beating, but the injustice of it was beyond upsetting. For several years, William carried this hate he had for these despicable people who had insulted him physically. He had moments where he forgot, then other days, especially at work, where he'd remember this abuse. It wouldn't be until he lost everything, that William would finally snap and lash out at the world. He and his wife were out drinking one night, a very friendly business man approached them casually, hiding his true intentions. They were so drunk, William and Romana didn't think to suspect this smiling man, who even bought them a few drinks from his own pocket. This so-called business man was actually more of a con artist, who ran his own independent company which "diversified" peoples money into multiple stocks, which often sank below the initial value. The customer could always withdraw, but the stocks would typically cost less than they first invested. Yet it was the high service charges, that the con-artist charged his customers for, which is where he got rich. He would write up these convoluted contracts that meant his customers couldn't withdraw too often, so that he could keep most of the money for himself. Giving back the short change through a legal loop hole. Most wouldn't fall for this, neither would a drunken William or Romana if they were sober. Yet the con-artist preyed on these two like a lion and that night, got them to sign over half their life savings. This one single stupid decision cost them their house, Romana blamed William for the mishap and they soon got divorced. When they finally managed to withdraw their money it was a faction of the original value, and the con-artist took a heavy cut too. William soon discovered that this con-artist was also named Mack, just like the other two men who had betrayed him before. Now William was alone, poorer than he'd ever been and absolutely full of wrath with nothing else to lose. So he vowed revenge on all of them, one by one, William planned on murdering all three of them. First there was the nightclub owner in Runcorn, the incident happened so many years ago, the owner didn't even remember him. This was the perfect opportunity to "apply for a job" there, as the owner had no idea who William was. The plan worked out perfectly, he was invited to the job interview and William snuck in some rat poison on his jacket. He hoped the owner would be drinking a coffee or tea, but the opportunity did not present itself, so William did his best to make a good impression and get the job, which he succeeded at. He asked his new boss if he wanted a coffee one afternoon before they opened for the night, Mack was beyond pleased and accepted William's generosity. He thanked his killer before taking a long gulp of the tainted coffee, that was poisoned with ricin (as William discovered it was untraceable). A few days later, that nightclub owner died of "natural causes" and William got away with the murder. So then there was the second Mack, this kill was a lot easier. All William had to do was wait for his target to leave from work, early in the morning when nobody was around except for him and Mack. William confronted Mack down a dark alleyway and screamed "fired am I?!" then shot his old work bully to bloody pieces, fleeing the scene immediately after. Soon a murder investigation was opened and the news was on TV, even the nightclub owner's death was suddenly questioned too, as both targets were named Mack and that they both had many enemies (because of all the poor people they had bullied). William knew his time was running out and his nemesis was still out there, Mack the con-artist. This final Mack lived in a huge mansion within the countryside of Chester, no doubt paid for by the many people he had scammed over the years. If anyone deserved death more than the others, it was this guy for sure! The original plan was to just kill this Mack like the others, but after seeing the luxurious home he had, William wanted to see that building on fire. So he did just that, waited until three in the morning, outside the impressive mansion until everyone was asleep. Then William poured petrol around the mansion's outer walls, all the way around the building so there was no escape. He poured extra around the doors, all so the exits would be especially harder to access. Then he lit a match over the petrol he had poured, and a small fire began form, which soon ballooned into a much larger one that soon swallowed the mansion up whole. William smiled to himself, as Mack's voice screamed in agony, alongside his children and wife. The sound filled William with the utmost glee, as he danced along to their screams of terror like it was disco music. Finally, William had gotten his revenge. The killer fled the country soon after his final kill, taking the last of his money abroad to Spain. He hasn't been spotted since.

Book Of Predictions
What if you could predict the future with the utmost accuracy, not a mere guess or estimate of how the world will end, but a genuine matter of fact answer to all of life's mysteries. This knowledge could be used for both good and evil, or perhaps greed; knowing where to find hidden treasure before anyone can discover it (metaphorically speaking). There have been many tales, of crooks using time machines to put themselves in power, changing the past so that they can be rich and powerful in the future. It is a tale seen in many sci fi movies and comics alike. Many claim these are tall tales, fun fictional stories of "what if" adventures. Yet, there is rumour of an item out there, something ancient and ultimately mysterious, a single book that can predict the future before it even happens. It is written in Egyptian and was found deep beneath the great pyramids, the cover is of a beige grotesque and waxy texture, which many believe could be human skin. Yet the jury is still out on that one, for it seems thicker like leather, but that could be due to its magnificent age. Nobody can truly determine the true origins of the book, only that it may have been used by rulers at the time to raise to power, as the book reveals things that are still yet to happen. So it is believed pharaohs took full advantage of this knowledge to become powerful and almighty. Yet it is also believed many who read this book, were sometimes driven to madness.

Most couples are friendly and fun to be around, yet there is one relationship out there, where you wouldn't want to be around them. This is the killer couple from New York, USA. Their names are Mr & Mrs Voorhees, yes they are aware of the irony, bet you didn't know they legally changed their second name just to sound more threatening. It is a wonder that they've never been caught, I guess they are experts at inventing alibis, nobody truly knows. However, what makes many believe they actually are killers, is the fact these two are always nearby whenever a brutal murder in the city is discovered. There is a tale, from the witness of a murder, who claimed to have seen the killer couple in the act.

The Poisoner
Assassins have existed since the dawn of time, higher ups in society across the world desire to see those who wronged them dead! So killers are hired to eliminate the targets for wealth, typically money is the reward they seek. Most assassins use hidden blades, carried under their sleeves, quickly slashing their victims before blending in with the crowd again. Others use sniper rifles or other long range guns, shooting from afar or up close. The best assassins are subtle and sneaky, the greatest ones of all have never been caught! There are a disturbing number of ways you can kill a human, I obviously won't share any, not in this story so use your imagination. The point of this tale is to explore the most bizarre assassin to ever walk the planet, a killer who is still unknown but has committed a countless amount of murders across the globe. All of which include spiking or tampering with the victims food or drink. This would poison the target to the point of fatal illness, it happened to the most unlikely of people, as though this assassin had no true targets but simply killed for sport. Perhaps there were reasons he chose to kill these people, but it is a mystery that has been left unanswered for decades. Many believe there to be multiple Poisoner assassins throughout the years, the theory that is it no single man or woman makes a lot of sense. It is a theory many subscribe to. The targets killed range from cute couples, families or lone travellers, who visit exotic restaurants whilst on their holidays around the world. It is always detected to be either rat or ricin poisoning, that kills the victims. There have been numerous cases investigated, where CCTV has spotted strange chefs in kitchens, those who were never officially hired had slipped in a disguise and tampered with the food. They always wear the chef's scarf over their face, to hide their identity. The figure has been described as male, standing tall and athletic. To presume the killer is male, he has been spotted in bars too, a hooded figure with a balaclava, spiking drinks of people who later end up dead. Usually the police don't investigate until the killer has already committed his murder, so it seems they have long vanished before any trail can be found. Not to mention the amount of people who were at first presumed to have been food poisoned, where it was the restaurant or cafe found responsible for not properly serving well cooked food. Only for forensics to later discover the truth, which was far more sinister and purposeful. Nobody knows who this assassin is, or why they do the terrible things they do. They are presumed to be male, but even that is uncertain. The race or gender of the killer is not yet confirmed. No face has ever been identified. A pattern has not been detected either. The Poisoner is a ghost, an assassin so good, they always manage to slip through the cracks, what with their many disguises and hiding spots. One can only assume the assassin seeks out those with bounties upon their heads, do if you've angered the wrong person, someone high up in society, be sure to eat food from the supermarket instead. You'll never know if The Poisoner is after you or not, until it is too late! If you eat or drink anything that tastes off, you should probably bin that item and wash out your mouth, there's a good chance it may be dangerous to consume. Then you'd become another death, on a list of thousands.
