Psychic Curse
Never anger a psychic, and don't you dare patronise or mock them, they will release a wrath so fierce upon you, it is almost cruel. Almost cruel because they typically only curse people who genuinely deserve it, terrible people who do nothing but wrong, are typically the ones who are cursed by psychics. In this tale, a foolish teenager tries to impress his girlfriend by trolling an old psychic lady at a gypsy carnival. This handsome boy will soon discover the true meaning of karma, I must warn you though, it isn't pretty!

Insect Man
The tale of Insect Man is a terrifying story of human experimentation, gone horribly wrong, resulting in an unfathomably grotesque abomination. It is about Ethan Clarke, an American scientist who was obsessed with comic books, more specifically; super hero comics were what he adored above anything else. Ever since he was a child, he always fantasised about having super powers and paranormal abilities, like those of flight or telekinesis. It seemed impossible, but that was until he saw the American body builders. Huge men and women, who could carry tree trunks above their shoulders, throw huge tires like frisbees and sprint in marathons for hours without getting exhausted. The human body can really achieve a lot of amazing feats, but not even the strongest, healthiest or fastest athlete on earth could match the sheer brilliance of a cosmic god from the pages of a classic comic book. So Ethan became a man of science, after reading stories about those who got powers through medical experimentation. He knew many super villains who got scarier powers by this method, such as an antagonist who remained permanently frozen, or an electricity powered monster, who needed batteries to stay alive. Of course, all of these stories were silly and over the top, but they still served as cautionary tales of science gone wrong. Ethan was well aware of this fact, as even real life experiments often resulted in horror, if not properly studied or administered correctly. So he had to be careful when attempting to create a real life super powered human, the idea was to enhance the biology of a man or woman, then hopefully the result would mean reaching extraordinary abilities unlike anything we've ever seen before.

Small Town Murder
The events of this story are entirely fictional, any resemblance to real life events or people is coincidental. Small Towns are usually nice places to live. The population is sparse and people are much nicer than the city folk, who are so busy and stressed they don't have time to say hello, they find anyone who does to be strange. For example; London is infamous for having an unfriendly and rude population, but I can't even blame them. I hate cities to be frank. Sure, the many different shops are exciting to visit and the nightlife is excellent. I've had so many friends who went to university in the big British cities, like Liverpool and Manchester (I'm from the north of England). They made so many friends it was unreal, they honestly had the time of their lives meeting so many different and unique characters. So it's not all bad living in the city, but I personally find it stressful, and that's putting it lightly! When you're crammed into a tiny train, tram or bus like tuna fish, with the most obnoxious, drunk and aggressive people, it is a nightmare. You get so washed up in all this madness, you end up going insane a little bit too. Along with all this frustration, of rushing around trying to get from point A to B, alongside being overwhelmed by crowds of people, it's no wonder so many city boys go crazy and are so loud. Crime is rampant in the city, the many crime thrillers set in New York or Chicago aren't entirely fictional, it's all based on real terror. That's why when a murder happens in a metropolis, it's never talked about (unless it's particularly horrific) because it is in these concrete jungles where the scum tends to hide.

Nightmares Come True
Ever have a nightmare? Not a weird one. A nightmare so vivid, it is almost mistaken for reality. Almost like a premonition of sorts, a vision of the future that may just come true. We also have good dreams, of fame, fortune and good luck. Funny how these fantasies never come true though, isn't it? As a writer, I dream my books have sold millions overnight, only to realise I haven't made a single penny. Reality is often disappointing. So when you dream; a episode of misery, it is more likely to come true. As depressing as it may sound, our brains can work out the math and show us an impending disaster before it truly happens. Now it may not turn out exactly like our dreams depicted, but somehow they can grasp the general fate of a bad situation before it occurs. Maybe it's from a series of past bad experiences, where your memory kicks in and shows you a possible outcome of the horror that awaits. The following is a tale of a woman named Faye, who ignored her nightmares and walked straight into mortal danger. What a silly girl she is!

A Bad Work Day
Fictional tale of a man who has the worst work day imaginable! They say, all it takes is one bad day, a single 24 hour period of misfortune and bad luck, to turn the most sane man insane. Now work is a chore, it is something most of us have no choice but to do. Whether or not you love working for a living, it is pretty much a given if you want to survive. For many it becomes routine, they make work friends and travelling isn't too frustrating. Yet, for Kieran Smith, his work life was hell. He didn't have a nice job in a clean office or cosy book shop. No, he worked in a grey, old, ugly and rusty warehouse. Kieran hated what he had to do, it was often cold and dark inside the building too. His job consisted of taking stock from one side of the warehouse, to the other and tidying the mountains of stock, that the regular staff were too lazy or depressed to keep clean. You see, he was a manager of this warehouse and the responsibilities he had were often too much for anyone to handle. He had to cover for everyone who called in sick (which was a lot) and be responsible for those who frankly, couldn't give any effort at all, even if it meant losing their job. He was the one who picked up the pieces every time and typically only got grief from the business owners, since things never went smoothly. The whole six years he'd been manager, there wasn't a single day where things didn't go horribly, horribly wrong. However, he always pushed through it, growing more and more bitter and frustrated by the day. The years of torture was building on him though, not just mentally, but physically too. The workload was heavy and agonising, lifting big heavy loads of office supplies all day would destroy anyone's back. He honestly thought he could manage it all though, that was until the unimaginable happened.

Doll Face
This is a fictional tale, however, myths of beautiful women luring men into traps is a real life legend. Many believe them to be demons in disguise, or some other foul beast in the form of an irresistible beauty. Whatever the case, there have been many cases of this particular deceit. Perhaps they are the witches from medieval folklore, or another sort of enchantress that can manipulate the opposite gender like puppets.

Haunted Cemetery
Although this is a fictional story about haunted cemeteries, I seriously advise that nobody try to contact the dead within these resting places. Not only is it disgusting and disrespectful to do so, but it is also incredibly dangerous and could land you in a lot of trouble. Whether or not you believe in the paranormal, it is important to remember that the cemetery is a sacred place that must be respected.
