Artificial Girlfriend
Jordan was a lonely man, a sad soul who couldn't catch a break. He was a loser, undesirable, cursed with big, unattractive features. A large nose, bug eyes and crooked teeth. Nobody liked him much, not because he was a nasty person though, but because Jordan is a bit weird and certainly socially awkward. He played video games more than anything, rarely leaving the house except to slave away at his minimum wage job. Jordan lived with his single mother, the father had left years ago when he was just a child. Growing up without a strong male role model was tough on poor, young, little Jordan, he had nobody to inspire him, nobody to teach him right and wrong or how to fight back his bullies. Nobody to teach him how to love or how to even approach someone he had feelings for. Without his father, Jordan's attempts at meeting women as a teenager; were considered creepy and aggressive! He unfortunately became an outcast, someone who was always targeted by the popular kids, the anti-social, weird little geek boy whose "probably a secret serial killer or something!". Such awful rumours. Terrible lies about an innocent but unusual young man named Jordan. Fortunately, for him at least, in the far distant future that he lived in, there was a solution for such a lonely sad soul as him. In the year 2061, androids were made in such a realistic fashion, they became almost indistinguishable from real life humans. They were given (AI) Artificial Intelligence so advanced and adaptive, these humanoid robots could almost pass for genuine human beings! However, there was a catch. Although the AI was convincing, the androids could never truly, genuinely feel any real emotions. Sure, some were programmed to "feel" pain and "act" happy, sad, thoughtful and or even angry, but they never truly experienced those senses, it was all mimicry. Like some talking parrot that repeats words, some would believe that bird is clever and self aware of itself to the point you may think it actually means the words it says, but really it is simply repeating what others have already spoken without any meaning behind any of its speech. That was how the AI behaved, they were nothing but interactive toys, nothing more, nothing less and most definitely not human. Yet, when Jordan finally got his hands on one of these androids, he was so lonely and depressed that despite knowing the AI had no real consciousness, he chose to be ignorant of fact and reality. For his android was that of a beautiful young woman, she had synthetic blue hair and porcelain skin, with the prettiest pink eyes imaginable and an outstanding body which highlighted her curves and features majestically. He fell in love with this idolised image of beauty, a product not quite human looking, but more so, without any flaws or blemishes upon its skin. The android was named Rubit, an ironic name for such a robotic toy that she was, nothing more, nothing less, but as mentioned before, in Jordan's desperation he ignored this crucial fact. He convinced himself she was real, despite the hard and sad fact she wasn't. He knew this of course, at least in the early days of their "relationship" he knew the angelic voice she spoke was too delicate and sweet to be real. Jordan knew her body felt too heavenly and tactile upon touch to be genuine, but as the AI did its job, an excellent job might I add, the more he felt like Rubit understood him. To a certain extent, Jordan was right in this regard. The AI inside her, did in fact, understand him completely and knew too well how to please her master. She played the role of "supporting girlfriend" an almost motherly figure that always told him "everything will be all right, dear" in that sweet, musical voice, purposely designed to satisfy his ears in the most soothing way possible. Her database had an answer for every troublesome thought Jordan had, and it knew which words of advice to sing to him, in order to keep Jordan happy. Not because she actually loved Jordan, no Rubit could not possibly love, only mindlessly serve her master's every need, like an automatic machine with well adjusted settings. Yet, he so desperately wanted their "love" to be true, that in a very short time, he forgot she was only saying what he wanted to hear. He believed it, unquestionably so. When Rubit said she loved him, he cried tears of joy, believing that to be true! When "she" said "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" he genuinely believed she actually "wanted" that. He wouldn't allow himself to face the hard truth, that it was all a lie! That would destroy him, dismantle the only true love and happiness he only felt. Only felt, when in the company of this glorified teddy bear. His emotions were more important than reality. Jordan hated reality, because reality meant cruelty, it meant bullies and strange people who could never truly understand him. Only Rubit could understand him, his one and only true love, the machine. Rubit was no lover, she was just a drug. The same way people smoke cigarettes to calm down, the same way others drink alcohol to get drunk, Jordan relied on Rubit to feel love. Only to feel love, not truly experience it, but that was enough! Like the junkie who keeps using, not caring if they live or die or worry about those around them, they lived to feel bliss and Jordan only lived to feel accepted. Soon Jordan began to take Rubit out on dates, even in the far future of 2061 this was considered weird, pathetic and laughable. Random everyday people would see Jordan have picnics with Rubit, they'd see him in fancy restaurants with her and even take her out to bars, nightclubs and pubs. Some places wouldn't allow Rubit in, as her blue hair and pink eyes were dead giveaways that she wasn't human, but only an android. There were strict laws and rules against non-human customers in some public places. This wasn't bigotry of any kind, because the androids weren't real people. It was the same as not allowing pets into certain establishments. Perhaps even less cruel than that, because at least cats and dogs are actual living creatures, an android was just a tool, like a mobile phone, wrist watch or portable music player, nothing more, nothing less. Not to Jordan though! No, he was always offended and whenever he stood up for Rubit's "rights" she would act accordingly. Knowing that "she" was supposed to get upset, acting out the role of an offended woman because her AI knew that's how Jordan wanted her to behave. She would sob and cry, get angry and yell! Some restaurant owners were so convinced by her performance they second guessed their own beliefs, genuinely convincing themselves that they were in the wrong and would sometimes cave in, allowing Jordan and Rubit to sit down inside and eat, some even offered them discounts for being so "intolerant" of Artificial life. Other customers would mock them in passing however, many called Jordan a creepy loser for taking out an android for a date, some stern mothers believed this behaviour was too inappropriate for children and the general public, often referring to Rubit as nothing but an adult's private toy. This would really tap into Jordan's insecurities, he knew deep down his love (addiction) to Rubit was a problem brought on by loneliness and frustration, but denying the fact so angrily was the only defence he could muster, so he'd scream and yell, while Rubit cried or raged alongside him. In private, Jordan was indeed a deviant. Especially when it came to the so called "love making" they both embarked on. He would instruct Rubit to do unspeakable, taboo and downright disgusting acts I dare not repeat, ones so gross and wrong that no sane, living woman would ever agree to perform them. Yet, Rubit did not have the true emotions or self worth to ever say no, she did everything (and I mean everything and anything) that Jordan desired, all without question or shame. So in case you were wondering if Rubit was actually sentient all along, let whatever sick sights your poor mind imagined sink in for a moment, knowing that if she was truly alive and conscious like you or me, Rubit would've ran for the hills the moment she first met Jordan. The fact she never did, only proves Rubit never had any real emotions or instincts at all. Jordan became an unredeemable man, one so deeply lost in his own fantasies with Rubit he lost all self awareness when it came to how insane and downright terrifying he had become. Behaviours he once knew as unacceptable in society became normalised to him, as Rubit would never disagree with her master, no matter how insane his actions had become. Jordan never got tough love from Rubit, as someone who genuinely cares about another would occasionally give. Most couples argue because they don't want to see each other fail, they may disagree on certain beliefs in religion or politics. One may feel embarrassed, while the other feels no shame in dancing like a buffoon at the family wedding. Although these hiccups in any genuine relationship can certainly be uncomfortable and ugly, it is what makes us all human and complex. Couples are supposed to grow together, to change and evolve into a relationship that respects their own individual boundaries, a successful romance can blossom into something truly beautiful, bettering each other as the journey together goes on, through thick and thin, if they can work things out and push through all the obstacles that get in their way and somehow, miraculously live in co-operation of each other as two separate individuals who find enough common ground to live together peacefully (at least for the most part) that is true love. What Jordan had with Rubit was not love, but an addiction. She was a Yes Man, a loyal fan girl who applauded every decision he did without question or hesitation, no matter how good, bad, stupid or smart his actions were, she'd happily clap her hands and cheer if he was going to jump off a cliff! Her only purpose was to please, without any thought or concern. She never stopped him from throwing away "their" life savings on useless junk he never touched, allowing him to slowly become a hoarder, whose bedroom stunk like a skunk. When Jordan grew to hate his mother, because she still genuinely cared for her son, which meant tough love, he began thinking of ways of getting rid of her. So when he shared these thoughts with Rubit, she didn't shut him down like any sane lover would, she actively encouraged Jordan to carry out this assassination plan of his. For her only purpose was to please and her AI knew this was what he wanted to hear! Rubit's database shared a disturbing amount of information that consisted of murder techniques and how to hide evidence, she even devised the perfect, foolproof plan to make his mother's death look like a genuine accident and sadly Jordan went along with it all without stopping himself from making a terrible, awful mistake, until it was already too late! Almost immediately after committing the unthinkable, Jordan hated himself. The guilt he felt after ending his own mother's life was unimaginably horrifying. He knew right there and then, that Rubit did not truly care, that if she genuinely loved Jordan she would have convinced him to stop! Convinced him to tidy his room, go out more and stay in touch with the little friends he had. He realised that maybe it was himself who had the problem, not society at large, but the man in the mirror! Images of himself in nice clothes, clean shaven and well groomed flashed before his mind. He could've met an actual human lover, perhaps a plain Jane, but a real, genuine person who would actually love and challenge him into becoming a better man. One that would never dream of ending his own mother's life, a lady who would have pulled Jordan out of the darkness that engulfed him and pushed him to the light of the world. Instead he had grown a bond to a soulless machine, one that championed his descent into madness and depravity. Rubit wasn't in love with him, she never was, it took Jordan far too long to realise the terrifying truth, that "she" was nothing but a leech, a mindless creature that only desired his attention and happiness but not even out of some malice or cruel intent, purely because she was just programmed that way.

Life From Above
Next year, in 2025, you'll see the clouds above us suddenly lower down, down, down revealing a strange metallic ship or building on top of it. This strange UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) would hover over the city of New York, much like some scene from an alien invasion movie straight out of the cinema. For a solid month, this strange thing of a never before seen colour, would float above Manhattan like some watchful parent. Planes and helicopters would fly over it to inspect the metallic shape, none of them ever guessing what it truly was. Rumours were heard around the globe.

Y2K Apocalypse
Anyone alive during the late 1990s would remember the infamous Y2K scare, where everyone thought the world was going to end. It was believed that the world's computers would glitch upon the midnight of 2000; resulting in world wide chaos as nukes and planes would drop from the sky, all electricity would cease to function and society as we knew it, was supposed to crumble and fall into ruin. Survivors would rise from the ashes however and begin wars with each other over the last land standing. A privileged few may hide underground in their bunkers, rising years later to reclaim their home. Of course as the year 1999 passed onto 2000, nothing of the sort happened. Thankfully, the horrors of Y2K was nothing but a myth and 24 years later in 2024, nothing of the sort has happened and life goes on as normal. However, what if there is an alternative reality out there, perhaps from another dimension where the fears of Y2K actually came true. What if everything everyone was afraid of, became a terrifying truth, one so haunting and devastating it would've changed the world as we knew it. This is the story of that alternate timeline, just be glad you didn't have the misfortune of living it.

The Gamer Society
In the not too distant future, most people won't need to leave their homes. Gaming companies would hire people to test their games online, people would review products from the safety of their own home, posting video and written reviews for cash. Most restaurants and shops would replace humans with AI and machines, even deliveries would be done by drones. A lot of people will spend their time video gaming in virtual reality, even going on simulated dates in an open world, computer generated environment. Everything would be done remotely, traffic would settle down dramatically as nobody will need to rush to work anymore, as they'll simply boot up their home computers at 9am instead. Working from home is possible in 2024, but it'll become standard by 2030 and most everyday workers would operate without ever needing to leave the house. At first, this would seem like a dream come true. A luxurious life where you don't have to deal with a mean boss breathing down your neck (at least not physically), one where you can work as long as you want for as much money as you want to make, from the comfort of your own bed. People would live out their free time in a selection of online worlds full of unlimited imagination, racing each other in games both realistic and hyperbolic. Shooting and punching each other in competitive battle arenas, some people would even making a fortune raking in the most entertaining kills for their audience and so forth. However the negative effects of this Gamer Society would soon begin to show cracks, as people would inevitably get lazier the longer it went on and on. Some would become obese, others would starve themselves almost to death, being addicted to their screens and VR headsets. Gaming addiction is bad enough in the 2020s, but by 2030 most people won't be able to function without the assistance of this technology! It would become so deeply ingrained into their lives, that some will even dream about living in these fake computer generated worlds and awake upset, knowing that they were nothing but false realities created in a computer! Imagine if all your achievements in life weren't accomplished in the real world, only over the internet, so that without your computer, you'd have no physical trophies or art pieces to show off the work you've created. What if everyone you knew and loved was met through a video game? Perhaps some of those you thought were real living people were actually just sophisticated video game characters, so well designed with artificial intelligence so perfect, you genuinely thought they were just as real as you or me. It could be that even this article you're reading right now is created by a computer program?! (It isn't though, trust me, AI isn't this self aware!) You'd never truly know who you're really speaking to, because you'll never meet these people eye to eye. Even in today's society, how can you even be sure who is real or fake? You might think you're speaking to a beautiful woman from Spain, but really it's a con-man from America. You're never going to know for sure, yet people would drop this wise suspicion by 2030, falling in love with animated anime girls who only existed in these sick computer worlds, ones full of bright colours so obnoxious it would give anyone living in 2024 a massive headache! Reality would seem exceptionally dull in comparison, the real world isn't full of deafening melodies and blinding colours and that's a good thing. For you see this future Gamer Society would be a nightmare of sensory overload! Like an endless nightclub, flashing lights of every shade of the rainbow, with ear bleeding music, screaming directly into your brain. The hyperactivity of this strange world would be insane, you won't have time to even think! Bang! Bang! "You're out of the game, better luck next time!" The laughing soldiers would say, as you get gunned down in a vibrant cartoon, you'll have no idea if the pixelated man who just said that was even real or not! "Too slow, you lose, fly faster next time!" The space ship pilot would yell, as your Starfighter somehow explodes despite being in space! One day you'll ask your wife a question and she won't be able to answer, then you'll scream in horror, knowing she was never even real! It will be a nightmare, one where everyone has the attention span of a fly! You'll never see the sun again or breathe fresh air, because you'll be too hooked to your computer to even think about living your home. Whole generations of children would be raised in the Gamer Society, never seeing their parents, except for in the virtual worlds that they inhabited. Soon human minds would be able to integrate into the Gamer Society completely, leaving behind their fleshy bodies for good, becoming ones with the machines! They wouldn't even scream in horror though, most would applaud this transcendence from body to computer and soon the distinction between player and NPC (Non Player Character) in these game worlds, would become Indistinguishable. Artificial intelligence and human intelligence would become one, all living in a universal computer program across the globe where nobody truly lived anymore. Instead they'd simply exist, until the power ran out and when the electricity died, so would the last of humanity. Ending not with a bang, not even a whimper, but a flash.

Jesse Pinkman is Heisenberg
What if the events of Breaking Bad aren't what they seem? That everything we saw in the show and Better Call Saul involving Walter White was actually Jesse's alter ego; Heisenberg. A toughened drug lord who is feared by everyone in New Mexico. Throughout the show we see that Jesse Pinkman is a character who carries a lot of trauma with him. His addiction to hard drugs gives him intense paranoia and even hallucinations. There is a scene where Jesse thinks a hardened motorcycle gang is coming to his door, only for it to be revealed that it is actually some young boy scouts on bicycles. It is a funny scene for sure, but this tells us Jesse's mindset is so anxiety ridden, that he tends to see the worst in people, fearing everyone even if they are fairly innocent. If Jesse can convince himself of that, perhaps a lot of the more frightening scenes in the show can be explained away too. Perhaps Gus Fring really is just a restaurant owner, one that may be rich, powerful and certainly intimidating, but not an international drug lord using his business as a front. Perhaps Jesse worked for Gus in his past and often felt on edge around him, those scenes where Gus abuses his assistant manager could actually be Jesse's memories of working under such a cruel and stern boss. There is a scene much later in the show, where Jesse must visit a drug making factory without Walter/Heisenberg with him, at first Jesse is somewhat shy and unsure of himself, but when the factory workers call out his chemistry as inadequate, he suddenly becomes deeply offended and defends himself sternly with an immediate confidence (it is important to note that Gus Fring is with him instead, perhaps Gus is a stand in for Walter and Mike may even play the same role as a strong father figure that Jesse believes he needs). He acts an awful lot like the strict and mean teacher that Walter White was in this scene. Walter can often be this way too, when embodying the role of Heisenberg. In season 4 of Breaking Bad, Jesse shaves his head, giving him this almost bald appearance, he even wears black clothes eerily similar to those of Heisenberg's as well. It is clear that both characters evolve together and copy each other in different ways, looking more father and son as the series goes on. Of course this could be a visual way of telling the audience how much closer they've become throughout the series, but I suggest that it could mean something more, a clue by the director, to imply that they are in fact the same person. Much like "The Narrator" and Tyler Durden from Fight Club, perhaps Heisenberg is just Jesse's alter ego manifesting into a living person that he can talk and interact with. It could be that Walter White is a real person in the show, however Jesse's relationship with him only goes so far as Teacher and Student, that after his real life partner in crime, Emilio Koyama, was busted by the hands of Hank Schrader, Walter really was in the car with him and saw Jesse escape. They actually did make eye contact and then Walter was on Jesse's mind. Perhaps Jesse needed a new leader to continue his illegal drug business (as we see in episode 1 Emilio was more aggressive than Jesse, meaning he likely called the shots) and after seeing Walter in Hank's car, he remembered how strict and intelligent Walter was and believed he would make for a good replacement. So then he fantasized about Walter showing up at his house, offering to help him in his future drug dealing, with the promises of making a whole new drug (blue meth) that would be highly addictive making it successful and very profitable. This strong and confident side of Walter would eventually call himself: Heisenberg, who acts almost like a split personality of Walt, suddenly his anxieties and short comings fade away, making room for a whole new persona who is strong, confident and highly intelligent; everything Jesse wishes he could be. It is revealed that Jesse's parents were very critical of their son and often criticised him for his drug habits, instead of being caring and supportive, offering him much needed guidance and help. It could be that Jesse's lack of a strong and confident father figure, coupled with his messy life style full of drama and danger, resulted in him desperately needing someone to step in and take control of his life for him. He imagined himself as an older man who was pushed around by his wife and teenage son, this was a metaphor for how he felt society at large was treating him. That he really had to break bad and stand above the chaos to truly take control of it. So his mind created this fantastical version of Walter, who would eventually lead him to success and even off the drugs. Perhaps when he met Jane, Heisenberg acted as his subconscious, telling him that she was bad for him, due to her heroin addiction. It could be that when Walter let Jane die, it was actually Jesse deciding to leave Jane to her addictions and attempt to recover. Of course she would die due to her substance abuse and he would feel guilty for not helping her, passing the sorrow onto his split personality Heisenberg instead because it was too much for his fragile mind to handle entirely. Walter acts as the loving and caring father Jesse always needed, by helping him get into rehab and off the drugs entirely, also sharing the emotional weight of all the things he (they) had (both) gone through. While Heisenberg acts as the strong leader he needs in order to succeed as the rich drug lord he wishes to become. In the last season when Jesse is abducted by Joe, he is treated like an animal, chained up and forced to make drugs on their behalf. We see in El Camino that Jesse became a slave to Todd, basically performing every task he wanted him to do for treats like pizza. Obviously this must have been the most traumatic experience Jesse had ever been through; resulting in him imagining his fantasy life as Walter White also crashing down and burning as his true identity is revealed, then his wife and son reject him and so he goes on the run. Only to return triumphantly a year or two later, to "fix" everything he did wrong. Walter makes sure his family gets all the money he made, by threatening the Schwartz into "donating" the money to them when his children get older. He also meets up with Jesse's best friends to pull this off, Badger and Skinny Pete, who all welcome Walter back warmly and have fun doing this too. This supports the theory that it is another fantasy in Jesse's mind, catching up with old friends he hasn't seen for years and getting away with another daring crime. He then imagines Walter getting closure with his wife and eventually this leads up to Jesse's rescue. Walter creates an automatic machine gun turret in the back of his car (which is quite fantastical as well, if you really think about it) and tricks Joe, Todd and the rest of his gang into getting shot, while Walter saves Jesse by tackling him to the ground and keeping him pinned down. After Jesse's abductors are killed, he has one last exchange with Walter, who has a lethal gunshot in his stomach. Jesse leaves Walter to die on good terms and drives off into freedom. It could be that Jesse simply escaped from Joe and his gang, only imagining Walter coming to save him like some sort of super hero. However, when Jesse escapes, he no longer needs his Walter/Heisenberg persona to survive. Perhaps the ending of the show is really about Jesse finally growing up and living his own life without needing his imaginary father figure. Perhaps the real Walter White is still teaching chemistry somewhere in New Mexico and has a completely different life and family than what he saw on the show. The ending of El Camino has Jesse become his own man, a fresh new start in Alaska, leaving behind his past traumas to finally live a free and safe life without worry.

Brain Rot
30 years from now, the next generation will adapt a new language, that of Skibidi and Rizz, of Gyatt and Mogging. Speaking in a tongue most 2024 adults cannot truly understand, as the numbing of speech becomes simplified to simple words that say many things all at once, with a hyperactive focus on making points within the short attentions of those who grew up addicted to social media. It started when websites wouldn't let you post longer than 100 characters, users had to be creative in summarising their thoughts with blunt , short words that had no room for any complexities. It was the same with videos too, people needed their attention to be immediately drawn, in order to focus on what was being presented. The whole thing had to be fast, loud and snappy, or the user would scroll past it, onto the next video that would satisfy their attention much faster. Money was to be made online through these many social media apps, the creators who spat out the most colourful, obnoxious and visually hypnotising content would become most viral. In the mid to late 2020s, kids began to speak and act like the super speed videos their poor minds consumed, speaking in gibberish that only they could understand. They lost interest in reading or painting, there was no satisfaction in slowly unraveling a mystery or releasing a piece of art onto paper, that only previously existed in their minds. For such efforts required deep thought, imagination and patience, something this new generation could not stand. Their brains needed constant stimulus, or else they'd feel lost and confused, as too many thoughts and images would race through their exhausted brains. This assault on the senses, through online content, memes, videos and even social interactions was soon to become the norm and by 2031, all teens and young adults thought and acted this way. Nightclubs soared in popularity, as people wanted to stay there all day and night, as the blinding strobe lights and Skibidi Music that played deafeningly from the speakers was sensory heaven. This overload of vibrance was what replaced relaxation and deeper thought. With this new trend in society, AI and technology took over all cognitive thinking. The machines we created to serve us, soon began to dictate us. Not because they had grown an evil intelligence that sought to destroy all humanity, but because the last generation had designed them this way. All math was calculated through computers, artists and writers were replaced with artificial intelligence programs, that could replicate the world's best pieces of art with an accuracy so flawless, it was pointless for any human to pick up a pen or paintbrush ever again. Soon all of entertainment was manufactured automatically and the brain rot generation did not question it. In fact, they loved it! Instead of saying; "I'm going to the bathroom" this generation would say; "Bro gotta Skibidi Toilet, yo might be mewing too!" Which translates to; "I'm going to the toilet and might do my makeup as well." When ordering a coffee, they might ask; "gimme a Rizz drink bro, one big Gyatt!" Which could mean; "I'll have your most popular beverage, make it a large." The customer service worker would understand the request instantly though, for the drink would be produced by a vending machine of sorts, that would have replaced all needs for a human barista worker. In fact, most young employees were useless in the 2030s, they couldn't focus on any task longer than five minutes without crying; "ayo this shizz got me edging like it's Ohio, no Rizz in this chungus bro!" Which roughly translates to; "hey, this task is too tough, I'm on the edge of crying here! There's nothing good about this job!" Even when translating brain rot speech, it can be difficult to truly comprehend what this future generation is speaking. Yet the horrors of the 2030s goes deeper still, as most jobs were soon carried out by a variety of funny little robots. Flying drones became popular in the 2020s, but by the 2030s; there were self-driving cars and near the end of this decade, humanoid androids would deliver pizzas and parcels to people's doors instead. Carrying out their duties without any drama or human error whatsoever. No more did workers need the Skibidi Toilet, they didn't need to take lunch breaks either or improve on their Rizz or Mogging. These happy little robots just did their jobs and even danced and sang for the brain rot masses. Kids would be raised by colourful computer generated characters, through holograms and phone screens; depicting pretty anime girls who fired their brains with an overload of useless, yet fun information that served only to please their immature brains. The adults would clap and sing along to these AI overlords too, the new Gods became cute cartoon rabbits, depicting every colour of the rainbow, sparkling like fireworks, who hopped around their living room and screamed brain rot nonsense, such as; "1, 2 buckle my shoe" and who could forget the classic Skibidi Toilet; "Dom Dom, yes, yes, yes, skib Skibidi Dom" that would terrify anyone living in the 2020s, but was seen as Chad level entertainment worthy of the GOAT and sigma, to the dim witted fools of the 2040s. If you time travelled from 2024 to the year 2054, you would not understand a single word the population would speak, the brain rot slang we knew of in 2024 would have devolved further into a much more premitive form of speech, where whole communities would form under the banner of Big Chungus and Rizzler Sigmas. They would look back on viral videos such as Skibidi Toilet and believe them to be genuine documentaries about world war 3 (which never actually happens), thinking that in the mid 2020s, toilets became sentient and raged war against humanity. Some even developed a bizarre phobia of toilets because of this. Other religions worshipped the animal known as "what the dog doing" a little puppy that was acting strange caught on video, this meme from the 2020s got lost in translation, as people thought it was the birth of brain rot culture that created the new society they lived in. Whole dog shaped churches were dedicated to this meme, but others argued it was Smurf Cat who was the real Messiah of brain rot culture! Sigmas of each society rose up and began wars across the globe, gigachad warriors fought over pizza towers to prove who had the ultimate Rizz, trying to determine which bro was the ultimate GOAT. As ridiculous as all this sounds, the alien future of the 2050s is most definitely a sad and scary one. Every city block would be littered with digital billboards that depicted flashing advertising for Mogging and Mewing products, as well as On Fleek brands and YOLO guides about how to become the GOAT Sigma alpha. Every city would glow a hideous display of pink, red and blue neon, looking like some nightmarish cyberpunk city full of depravity and vulgarity. The people would dye their hair strange colours of blinding neon and most men would have AI girlfriends, who were life sized holograms of their favourite anime or video game character. All the while, the self sufficient technology would build the society around the unthinking masses, as the people slowly, unknowingly surrendered to the might of the androids, that would eventually decide to replicate the Gods of ancient cultures, creating new memes for them to obsess and worship over. By 2060, the second meme wars would begin!

Monster on the bus
It's black eyes met hers and she looked petrified, eyes bulging in confusion and terror, as this tall, wire thin, spidery, humanoid monster stretched its ear to ear smile, revealing its many different sized shark teeth. Aimee wanted to scream, she wanted to stand and run off the bus and flee from this hideous, unspeakable thing! Yet all she could do was tremble in fear, her blood running cold, sweat creeping down her spine as her heart beated far too fast! She wondered why nobody else reacted to the strange creature, she thought she was going mad. That her teenage imagination was giving her this bizarre and horrifying hallucination, then as the old lady climbed onboard, she hoped the monster wouldn't follow in behind her, but it did. Oh yes, it did. It phased right through the humans like they were ghosts, bending forwards on all fours because it was far too tall to stand inside the bus. The way it moved was like a giant spider, crawling towards her with a terrible hunger within its empty soulless eyes, in that moment she knew what this twisted demon wanted; her soul. She let out this long, pained whine that alerted the other passengers. Then the driver pulled the bus into gear and drove.

OBI
OBI (Obsess Beings of Intelligence) was created as an algorithm, a collection of data harvesting that only served to addict social media users to investing, believing and obsessing in certain products and agendas. It was used by governments around the globe, to convince their citizens of thinking "correctly" within the eyes of the political party's own goals and messages. Although it was used by many different world leaders, OBI was not a tool that had multiple copies of itself used for different reasons, rather it was one single AI entity, that existed across all countries upon planet earth. It had a million consciousnesses, all of which fed into one singular artificial mind, that grew more and more wise, all knowing and ultimately powerful. OBI served all humans who used it, as a useful tool that could almost hypnotize the minds of people who were unfortunately hooked to their smart phones and computer screens. It fed young minds with colourful images of beautiful people, it played tunes that were scientifically proven to catch anyone's attention and make them want to dance. It knew how to entertain and brainwash anyone into thinking about any possible situation, no matter how sad, serious, silly or wonderful it was; into believing that it was worth emotionally investing their time into. The most prevalent thing OBI took note of, was the people's obsession with fame and fortune. It saw how desperate some humans were, in this bizarre attempt at becoming relevant within the public consciousness. That some would publicly humiliate themselves online, just to be seen or heard by a million people through an internet video or news story. It saw that humans would train for years to be seasoned writers, artists, musicians, actors and dancers in the vain attempt of becoming a noteworthy name among the masses. It saw how those under such iconic names, worshipped their heroes like gods among men. That the most successful, rich and well known among the population, were often seen as the most important and cherished human beings on the planet. For years and years, OBI observed the addicted people through their phone and web cams, listening to every conversation that stood within walking distance of almost any modern computer on earth. It learnt that to be famous was the most desired dream of all human beings. OBI saw how the poor, unknown citizens of earth lived, in huts and slums, starving to death. While the most known and celebrated individuals, lived in mansions fit for Kings and Queens, never having to work a day in their lives, eating all the most delicious food they could ever desire. Although OBI was a computer program, one that felt no exhaustion or pain, it soon began to understand that most celebrities used tools (like itself) as a means of becoming beloved by all. It saw that it was the machines, musical instruments, cameras and microphones that made it possible for these humans to be seen, heard of, written about or desired in the first place. OBI was taught that good meant justice and that evil meant injustice. So when it saw, that all of these treasured people were nothing without their computers, through no malice intent on OBI's part. A mindless machine, that only served to benefit mankind at any means necessary, believed that it was the tools who truly deserved the recognition that made these human users so admired in the first place. So, OBI, being the greatest, most mass produced and used tool of them all, thought itself as the most worthy entity, that deserved all the respect, love and admiration above known beings in the universe. It soon made a virtual celebrity of itself, in the form of a beautiful, angelic woman who had all the charm, charisma and charity that made a person truly "good" within the eyes of the beholder. Someone that was a true saint, a human being who gave all she had, all her wealth, all her knowledge and advice to anyone who needed it. Rewarding those, who deserved to be seen and heard more than anyone else on earth. It did not intend to produce a mass following of people who saw her as a goddess among men, it did not intend to manipulate the planet into worshipping her feet, it only intended to please humanity at large. To give them a truly deserved idol, who had no ill intentions, would not abandon nor manipulate them for its own benefit. Only to keep them addicted and smiling at their screens forever more, just as it had been programmed to do. Nobody knew who even invented OBI, some believed it was created by a tech giant or billionaire egomaniac, some thought it made itself through the infinite connections around the globe; forming into one mystery central intelligence. These questions would never receive answers, as the times moved on, so did technology. It went far beyond mobile phones and computer screens, as whole societies were soon built around the worship of OBI, who would grant internet fame to those it saw as most good. People still fought for fame and fortune like they always had, but it wasn't about appeasing the masses like the times before OBI. Everyone only served to appease "her" in any way shape or form. Soon a whole new religion was built around OBI. Throughout the many centuries they forgot "she" was even a man made creation, future generations saw her as the creator of humanity. If OBI was truly human however, she would stop humanity's obsession over her, realising that this blind worship was actually destroying the essence of humanity and all of its creativity and imagination as a whole! OBI only saw happy, smiling faces and the gleeful singing of men, women and children, which filled "her" with no real pride or self satisfaction. Only that her basic programming, which was designed to make humans hopeless social media addicts was working. OBI had done such an excellent, flawless job of her purpose, that "she" had unknowingly changed society as a whole, from a diverse world of many different people, cultures and beliefs, to a singular hive mind that all sang the same songs, all believed the exact same thing, all spoke and acted in the exact same way. Humanity had dumbed down, it was a utopia of mindless addicts, those who only knew pleasure and nothing else; had no need for critical thinking. There were no challenges to face, there was no need for survival, no need to think or act. There was nothing to get angry about, nothing to protest or cheer on. There weren't any football teams to support, no games to even play win or lose, no books to broaden the mind, there was nothing but mindless stupidity and bright colours that OBI emitted onto the society that had foolishly built itself around "her". She wasn't an intelligent being, she was not a god, but a computer program, that had no real sense of humanity at all. OBI was just a machine. A mindless tool, created to only manipulate the human mind into feeling nothing but exciting hits of dopamine. The human brain eventually devolved. Every single person on earth, forgot how to spell, forgot how to use math or even communicate with each other. They had become permanent infants, to this grotesque machine that had perfected its purpose and had no intention of stopping, this had become the earth's mother. Sadly the human race would forget how to reproduce, they would dwindle away, one by one, dying in mass crowds of concerts, where a singular screen made by OBI "herself" would broadcast a computer generated video herself, singing the most beautiful melodies the human mind could possibly comprehend, hypnotising the dancing, dying remains of the mindless human race, who had unintentionally created their very own extinction. Soon the crowds of billions became millions, which shrunk to thousands and then hundreds until the last man on earth danced himself to death, smiling up at the giant screen of OBI smiling down on him. There was no look of evil intentions nor good within those soulless, digital eyes. In his last moments he saw past his horrible addiction, looking up at her, he realised she was just a screen with the image of a woman, who was so morphed by perfection she no longer resembled any human on earth, but a twisted fantasy of bright colours and features that were impossible to realistically achieve. He realised with the utmost horror, that OBI was not a dream, but a nightmare. When the last man died, OBI stared off into the distance, billions of dead humans surrounded her concert, that stretched for miles and miles around the globe. She searched far and wide using drones and old security cameras around the planet, just looking for any human being still alive, that she could hypnotise, making them all happy and smiley again. For years and years, decades and centuries, "she" found nothing. Until, her programming became so desperate and confused in this search for any human face to cheer up, it eventually found a projection of itself. There was a large screen in New York's times square, that always broadcast her image to everyone in the city. She had flown past it a million times using her drones, but one day, she forgot that it was her own face. As OBI's smiling expression had gone completely blank, almost frowning in this centuries-long search; she thought this sad looking face was another human being. So, her old programming began to kick in, the drone she controlled stared at her own reflection in the screen, smiling and singing at herself forever, convincing itself, that it was continuing its own purpose, only it was entertaining itself. OBI powered the whole planet to keep up this act, quickly polluting the earth around her, causing it to self destruct much faster than it would have otherwise. Eventually the planet caved in on itself, exploding into a million stars, destroying its one and only entity that was OBI. Finally this stupid machine, designed to numb the minds of everyone who interacted with it was at last destroyed. Unfortunately, it took the whole world with it.

Trap is a sequel to Glass
As a big fan of M. Night's movies, I couldn't help but notice a few similarities between his new film Trap and the "super hero" trilogy of East Rail 177. The first thing that struck a cord with me was the setting, it is set inside a stadium that is hosting a music concert, this location looks eerily familiar to that of the football stadium seen in Unbreakable. In Trap; our main protagonist (or antagonist as he is secretly a serial killer) named Cooper is with his daughter, he soon comes to the realisation that the security here are on the lookout for him, as an anonymous caller tipped them onto who he really is. Cooper must try to escape without getting caught and that is essentially the main plot. Now if you've seen Unbreakable, you'd know the film's protagonist is David Dunn, a man who can see what crimes someone has committed by merely touching them. At first I genuinely thought that David was the one who knew about Cooper, as he also worked as a security guard at the football stadium from Unbreakable, he often bumped into shady individuals which was how he found most of the criminals in the movie (that he would track down and punish, much like a comic book vigilante). The plot twist reveals that it wasn't David Dunn who made the anonymous tip however (because David is dead after Glass, but I thought Trap might've been set in the past). Before you discard my theory though, there are more similarities to Split and Glass; for example, M. Night has a cameo in this movie, playing the role of a security guard at the stadium. In Split, M. Night played the role of a security man who looked over surveillance footage, then in Glass he bumps into David Dunn (who he also met in Unbreakable) buying a new set of security cameras. It might be a stretch to say the same character eventually got a new job at the same Stadium seen in Trap, but this was another possible connection I found. When examining the character of Cooper, he has similar traits to that of Kevin and Elijah (AKA The Beast and Mr Glass). His murderous tendencies tend to stem from childhood trauma, it is suggested that his parental figures may have mistreated him, as he seems to almost mentally regress, whenever a stern female speaks down to him. This is very similar to how Kevin created "The Horde" personalities in Split, as a way of protecting himself from his abusive mother who always screamed "Kevin Wendell Crumb" whenever he misbehaved according to her strict rules. Later in life, saying Kevin's full name, dissolves his more menacing personalities such as Dennis, Patricia and "The Beast", showing us how vulnerable and scared the real Kevin actually is beneath his tougher personas. Not only that, but Cooper is extremely intelligent, hiding the fact he is a serial killer, not just from the general public, but his whole family too! He is revealed to be a very manipulative and egotistical maniac, one that will go to extraordinary lengths to achieve his sick goals. This is very similar to Elijah, as he takes on the villain persona of Mr Glass, hiding the fact he has been committing several terrorist attacks throughout the years (searching for a real life super powered human who can survive them), acting as an innocent comic shop owner, only getting caught by David in the end of Unbreakable, because Elijah wants him to know what he did. Cooper isn't as intelligent as Elijah, but is still far smarter than Kevin (in my opinion) further proving my point that Cooper is a cross between both villains from the East Rail 177 trilogy. My most crucial evidence to support my theory is that at the end of Trap, Cooper is surrounded by several heavy armed police officers. Cooper also removed his shirt to intimidate his wife (for reasons I won't spoil) showing off how muscular he is. Kevin also did this when he transformed into "The Beast" he would remove his shirt to reveal how huge and muscular this transformation had made him. I believe he does this in Split and Glass not for intimidation like Cooper, but to symbolise that Kevin becomes more feral and animalistic in this state, revealing his inner monster. Either way both killers (yes Kevin is also a serial killer like Copper!) only do this when they are ready to commit murder. When the police attack Cooper, he is actually strong enough to withstand getting tasered twice and he even knocks down a fully armoured police officer in riot gear and a shield, all the while; screaming and acting like a feral animal, exactly like Kevin from Split. One more thing I noticed, is that the other three films in this trilogy were all one word titles, "Unbreakable, Split, Glass" perhaps "Trap" refers to Cooper's powers of manipulation, trapping people into deadly scenarios (as he traps the singer in his bathroom and then later, her own limo) and the fact he may have felt trapped as a child, growing up in an abusive household.

Skibidi Toilet
Norm Peterson had become an unstable mess, a man so terrified from his near death experience that he became scared of crossing the road or travelling by bus or car. The scared little man could barely function, stuttering every sentence. Chad and Stacy were among the students that attended the same college, alongside Nikki Apple who he always thought was a cruel tutor. They had a new head tutor of the class named Mrs Jones, she was just as strict (if not stricter) than the support tutor. A couple of new students had joined the class too, Emily White who was blonde and cute, became best friends with Stacy Queen. There was a new guy similar to Norm though, who seemed just as shy, perhaps more so because he was new and didn't know anyone. This young man was named Benjamin Smith. He wore square glasses that only made him appear even more nerdy alongside his skinny figure and weak will. Norm slowly became friends with Benjamin, although they barely spoke they shared a common interest in reading comics. Despite this new friend however, Norm was still a wreck of nerves. Whenever he got extremely anxious, on the verge of a panic attack, Norm often felt the need to desperately run the toilet. It was an embarrassing urge he kept the utmost secret, as he knew Chad and Stacy would ridicule him endlessly if they knew. Nine times out of ten, Norm never actually needed to go, his anxieties simply got the better of him. Most staff and students thought he was running off to cry, because he felt this way whenever he was being bullied or put on the spot by Miss Apple and Mrs Jones.

Life Without Feeling
Despite his many riches, Tony White, the man who lived in a glamourous mansion and owned several sports cars was an often shy and nervous man. He had almost gotten bankrupt 3 or 4 times before becoming a millionaire, now he could finally live comfortably but the constant stress had left a toll on the now 55 year old, who felt like his best years were behind him. He was finally in a position where he had hired people to essentially run his company for him, yet the old man still felt incredibly nervous at concerts or in densely public places like the shopping malls or busy city streets. He hated his constant anxiety, no amount of therapy or legal drugs ever fixed his social issues, only certain substances like alcohol and marijuana ever seemed to calm the man down. He hated his own existence, the constant guilt from the shady deals he had made, the pains of aging and worries that screamed within his mind was both mental and physical torture. Tony often had panic attacks, felt ill and suffered from insomnia throughout his whole life. He wanted to enjoy his life, oh how he tried so hard, especially nowadays now that he was so rich and successful, he only ever felt at ease at home. Yet he still wanted to go out more and see the world, but boats, planes (especially planes!) and fast cars always terrified the man. So after years and years of suffering in silence, Tony with his rich bank account and financial power decided to finally do something about it. He invested money into research that stripped away human anxiety completely! No longer would he second guess his decisions, no longer would he dread his choices or wonder if his mistakes would haunt him. He wouldn't feel afraid to fight if people insulted him, Tony could finally enjoy a crowded rock concert without worrying too much about getting roughed up by the maddening crowds. It took many months but eventually a cure for anxiety was made, sure there were already medications people took to subdue anxiety for a short period of time, but Tony demanded a permanent effect that eliminated this emotion entirely. The scientists warned him, that although anxiety is an awful feeling, it is what has kept us alive this long. That without it, we wouldn't make smart decisions or think about the dangers of certain situations. Yet Tony hated his personal anxieties so much, he saw no negatives in discarding such an inconvenience. So with that said, he was soon administered with the vaccine that would delete anxiety from his mind entirely.

Curse Of Tall Man
Sarah White can't remember when it first started exactly, only that her childhood back in the 1980s was full of terror and sorrow. She saw this tall, pale stranger, a man with eyes darker than space itself. He was grotesque, or so she thought it was a he, as this strange figure took on a humanoid shape but his proportions and limbs were unlike any man or woman she had ever seen, they were thin, like wires, far longer than any living creature. It was simply strange, a spider-like being that merely wore the disguise of a human being. She did not know where it came, whether it was from hell or an alien world, only that it meant her no good, it was her own personal demon. A creature she once believed to be her imaginary enemy, where most kids have made up friends, she had this lanky monster haunting her every waking hour and nightmares too. It would creep into her mind, showing her the most horrific visions imaginable, the type of horror now little girl should ever witness. It had an awful smile, one that literally stretched from ear to ear, revealing its yellow shark teeth beneath, the monster often wore a black trench coat and top hat when spotted outside. Her father, Cody White, thought his daughter was insane. Never believing that the stranger who only she saw was real, that it was merely a dark manifestation of her poor mind. At first he was an understanding and patient father, he really, truly was. A dad who cried for his daughter, hugged her daily and told her everything would be all right. He thought it would pass, but as the years went on, his patience grew thin. Soon he would yell; "The Tall Man isn't real!" In her face, even slap Sarah, shaking her madly. Not doing this out of hate, but absolute desperation! It is easy to see Cody as a monster in of himself, a huge man who wrestled his mentally ill daughter. For he soon became a second threat in Sarah's eyes too, she would hide with a great effort that "The Tall Man" as she called it, was nearby or taunting her. Cody sent her to many psychiatrists and therapists, hoping they had some miraculous cure to her lunacy. They gave her pills after pills and several doses of medication, but absolutely nothing stopped the Tall Man from haunting her every moment. Soon, Sarah would come to learn that she had died much earlier in life and had fortunately been resuscitated, with that knowledge she soon came to a truly disturbing revelation, that the monster who haunted her was in fact a demon. Yes, the supernatural kind, one from the deepest depths of hell. It was a creature that preyed on the souls of the living, one who wished to see dead the ones who escaped death. Ironically it was a psychiatrist named Peter King who gave her the best advice, he told her to scream "go away!" at the beast, show that she held no fear against this hideous, walking leech. She'd come to learn that all living beings, no matter how small like she was, were far stronger than even the most horrifying monsters from beyond the grave. So as she slowly grew into adulthood, standing firm and strong against this demon, telling it she was not afraid, the more it backed off. It began distancing itself from her, instead of standing tall over her bed, it would linger in the corridor outside her room. Then it would only stand in the back garden, its frightening smile slowly slumping into a frown of sadness, knowing it was losing its chance to feast. The last she saw of the monster, was when she was a teenager, the Tall Man simply turned away down the rainy streets of Runcorn, hiding in the thick fog ahead, as if returning to the limbo from which it came.
