Cooley High: The truth emerges about Brenda and Cynthia Davis
Cooley High: Brenda left a lasting impression on viewers The 1975 hit film Cooley High remains a favorite of many fans today 46 years later. One of the mysteries of the coming of age movie is what happened to one of its stars, Cynthia Davis who portrayed Brenda. Each time I have viewed this film over the years, I remark that the credits stated "Introducing Cynthia Davis." This seemed to imply that the up-and-coming actress would go on the fame and fortune in other movies but it did not happen. Someone saw her future potential but something happened that took her away from the spotlight.

A Different World: The nameless guy at Hillman
A Dfferent World: Where are they now The Cosby Show spin-off A Different World ran on NBC from September 24, 1987 to July 9, 1993. This series quickly gained it's own following and was in the top 10 of the Neilson ratings. There are a number of "Where are they now" sites dedicated to the main characters of the show and a few lesster known cast members. I have found myself wondering for quite some time about a character who was in a handful of episodes but never spoke.

The Young and the Restless: Fans are concerned about Josh Morrow
The Young and the Restless: Another false rumor Lately, it seems that when there are no actual soap spoilers that rumors begin saying popular characters are leaving The Young and the Restless. A few weeks back the Internet was abuzz with the fake news that Melissa Ordway was walking away from her role as Abby Newman. The same unfounded news is being reported about her co-star Joshua Morrow. Nick Newman's current storyline or rather lack thereof has become fodder for those who make it up as they go along.

The Bronze Buckaroo was not African American
When I first heard about The Bronze Buckaroo, the singing black cowboy, I envisioned someone who looked like Sherrif Bart (Clevon Little) from Blazing Saddles. I thought this individual would be a dark brown African American male but I was wrong. At first glance, I was certain that Herbert Jeffrey was white and I thought to myself "You have got to be kidding." This man was not bronze but what people considered to be "high yellow" which is what I have been called many times. The old saying that one drop of black blood deems a person as black was obviously true.

Remarkably Really Me
Soap opera fans are taking notice of the pattern that is emerging with an increasing number of female actors. They will not be on screen for weeks or months but when they return they are brand new. All you have to do is look at past episodes or images of these women online and you can see they have had plastic surgery. With all due respect, it is not appealing to see faces drawn so tight that the soap star can barely open her mouth to say her lines.
