Days of Our Lives: Holiday movie update

Days fans are eager for updates related to the holiday film that will air on the Peacok streaming service on December 16. There are not many new details but Sami Brady(Allison Sweeney) and her stepdad John Black (Drake Hogestyn) get into the holiday season based on these photos. Both are in the cast of Days of Our Lives A Very Salem Christmas and at this point, not much has been revealed about the plot. One thing that is known is that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will be working on a screenplay with a deadline of Christmas Eve.

In September the Peacock streaming service premiered a 5 episode spin- off of the NBC soap titled Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem. Information regarding the cast and the storylines came about a little at a time and it looks like Peacock will be doing the same thing with A Very Salem Christmas. Slowly but surely additional facts about the movie will be revealed. The success of Beyond Salem is the reason the holiday film was made.

A Very Salem Christmas: Ugly holiday sweaters

Images of John and Sami's ugly holiday attire are making the rounds on the Internet. Sami's sweater advertises her family's business the Brady Pub so she at least has a reason to be wearing it. John seems to be doning his ugly Christmas gear just to get into the holiday spirit. DOOL viewers have been so used to seeing John in recent weeks chained up and unshaven. Looking at wearing the sweater and standing in front of a Christmas tree with his clean face seems odd.

Even so, DOOL fans will certainly prefer seeing Mr. Black in an ugly Christmas sweater donned with candy canes, and Santa as opposed to how he looked when he was rescued from the DiMera crypt.

Regarding the plot of the holiday film spoilers tease that there may be some Grinch who will attempt to stop Christmas from coming. John and Sami might somehow end up saving the day. Deidre Hall is in the holiday but it does not appear that she is possessed.

Days of Our Lives; A happy ending might be possible

Days execs have not announced whether or not the holiday movie on Peacock will be a stand alone or revolve around current events in Salem. At this point, practically every article online about the movie is related to Allison Sweeney and or Eileen Davidson taking part in it. On the television series, Sami has been kidnapped but will soon reach out to Lucas Horton (Brian Datillo). John Black has just been released from the DiMera Crypt where a possessed Marlena has been holding him.

In the photos from the movie both Sami and her step dad seem happy and about to enjoy the holiday. Hopefully, all the evil remains on NBC and does not show up on Peacock. Viewers will enjoy a happy holiday diversion from all the devilish mayhem that has been taking place in Salem and a happy ending will be just what is in order.

A Very Salem Christmas: Nick may play Saint Nick

Spoilers say Blake Berris will return as "Nick" Fallon and it looks as if he will be wearing a Santa suit and portray Saint "Nicholas." Never mind that Nick was dead and became a zombie roaming Salem on Halloween thanks to Marlena. If he is portraying Santa Claus then the movie most likely is separate from the happenings currently taking place on the NBC soap. Days fans should continue to be on the lookout for additional updates as December 16 draws near.
