My Review of "Superman (2025)"
Superman (2025) is the long awaited new Superman movie to come out since the last one in 2013 called Man of Steel. I was a big fan of that movie but I know that they're making big changes with the characters. It's funny how using the same characters and ideas the movies can be so drastically different from one another. Despite the differences, I was still able to enjoy this immensely.

My Review of "Pom Poko"
Pom Poko is a Japanese animated movie that came out in 1994. It's got a ton of social commentary behind it and quite weird as well. I think you'll get an extra appreciation for it if you understand a little bit more about Japanese culture. There are a lot of cultural aspects behind this movie that I kind of understood and learned about at the same time.

My Review of "Jurassic World: Rebirth"
Jurassic World: Rebirth is the latest dinosaur movie to come from a franchise that will never die. I had to see it in theatres because a movie like this warrants watching in the theatres. It's the summer and I wanted to see a big monster movie and that's pretty much what I got with this movie. I'm not going to say it's the best one out there but why do we expect everything to be continuously better? Not all franchises are created equally.

My Review of "Spirited Away"
Spirited Away is a Japanese animation that came out in 2001. It's one of Hayao Miyazaki's famous films. I had seen it when I was younger but I don't think I totally understood the movie back then. This movie can kind of go off the deep end. If you're not ready for it, you might be put off by it, like I was when I was way younger. Today, I think I have enough maturity to figure it all out and see what's everyone's going on about.

My Review of "The House Bunny"
The House Bunny is a comedy from 2008 that is probably well disliked today. For me, it's a very guilty pleasure. Yes, this movie doesn't age well considering all of the things we know and the social climate we live in now. This movie really elevates more because of the charm of the cast and how they deliver pretty terrible lines. What should feel so stupid feels so fun because of them. Besides, with a title like this, you can't be expecting a pure cinematic experience.

My Review of "V for Vendetta"
V for Vendetta is a politically charged revenge movie that came out back in 2005. As it talks about general ideology, many of the themes still hit today. I think it hits us harder today because the themes of the movie are pretty much buzz words of today's pop culture climate. At the heart of the movie is a basic revenge movie that takes a lot from the story of The Count of Monte Cristo.

My Review of "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is an animated Batman movie that came out back in 1993. It came at the time when Batman: The Animated Series was fairly popular. I remember wanting to watch this movie when I was a kid but never got around to it. Years and years passed by and today I finally got the chance to check it out. In a way, I'm kind of glad I saw it today rather than way back then. I'm not sure if I would have appreciated the movie as much back in the day.

My Review of "Andor: Season Two"
Andor: Season Two had dropped exclusively on Disney plus. I would have finished reviewing this TV series earlier if the first half of the season wasn't so boring. Mind you they had to explain a lot because there's just so much that happened in the previous season, I kind of got lost in what was going on.

My Review of "The Brutalist"
The Brutalist is an epic drama that came out in 2024. A lot of people have been praising this movie, so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I have mixed feelings about this movie. One one hand, I can see why people hold this movie in such high regard. On the other hand, there are a lot of excessive things in this movie that I felt didn't need to be in there. Well that's just me, I know why they left it in there and so this isn't a movie for everyone.

My Review of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: Season one"
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a fantasy anime TV series. I've never heard of this series until I told a friend that I really liked the Delicious in Dungeon anime series. They told me that if I liked that one, I would definitely get into Frieren. Low and behold, I'm here to gush about this TV series as well. Although the two series have similar backgrounds, they are very different from one another. Both are fantasy series but they have different intentions in mind.

My Review of "Predator: Killer of Killers"
Predator: Killer of Killers recently came out on stream from Hulu. I'm surprised at how much fun this one was. They could have extended it into a TV series had they wanted to but I'm glad they were able to contain it into a single movie. If you're a fan of the franchise this is definitely something you have to check out.

My Review of "Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim"
Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is a side story of the Lord of the Rings franchise. It doesn't do anything that affects the overall story but builds on a small existing lore within the vast universe of the franchise. It's told in a Japanese anime style of movie telling and for some this is not their cup of tea. That's understandable. I was able to watch through this and I actually had a good time.
