Two Books One Week

Hard Then Easy Then Hard

The Hardback Copy

Introduction

This week, I have tried to publish two books, one a hardback and one an ebook, which means that I have not had time to publish on Vocal as much as I normally do, which will probably please a few people.

One is with The Glittering Fox, who you can find out about here:

They are:

"The Art Of The Glittering Fox: The Art Of The Glittering Fox With Poetry Inspired By It"

and

"A Collection Of Plagiaristic Poetry: Poems Woven From Stolen Words"

The music is "Book Of Rules" by The Heptones, which I tried to cover on my YouTube channel.

So What Was Easy And What Was Hard?

When putting together "The Art Of The Glittering Fox" the Kindle Creation software is awkward, but doable if you follow the correct routine, and creating the book has helped me refine the method that I detailed here:

When I checked the first walk through I realised that some of the words were not on the same page as the painting that had inspired them, so that meant putting blank pages in to make the book look and read right.

Then Angie suggested that we put paintings on the blank pages, which made it look even better, although it slightly confused me at first, but the paintings were just that, with no accompanying words.

But the book looks great as I took delivery of the proof copy. Angie gets hers tomorrow, and when she gives the OK, it goes on sale.

Then onto the ebook "A Collection Of Plagiaristic Poetry", I thought this would be easy, and it is, but with plagiaristic poetry, I indicate the plagiarised words by bolding them, and that is an extra step for every line.

So this ebook is more work than I expected, but it will be published tomorrow.

Conclusion

This time tomorrow, I will have ten self-published books for sale on Amazon, which you can find here.

Thank you so much for reading, and hope I have given you an idea or two.

Can’t wait! I find using KDP and Word a real pain for publishing so keep putting it off, leaving at least 3 books hanging.

  • Congratulations 😍 Wish you bestseller. My first book is released on Thursday, I can't wait.

  • What an achievement! Publishing two books in a single week is no small feat. I really enjoyed reading about the process behind each one β€” especially how you solved the layout challenge with the paintings. Inspiring dedication, and congratulations on reaching ten books!
