Trying To Make My Writing Look Good
As Well As Writing Words I Like To Add A Bit More

Introduction
I have written about making our stories a little more pleasant to look at and therefore draw more readers in because they think "Oooh that looks interesting". They might not be tempted by the subject but I still try and captur people's attention.
This was a piece about some of the things that I do:
But I am going to expand a little on the points I made on that piece.
So How Can We Grab A Reader's Attention?
Two related issues are that a post that is just a link does not grab me at all. Sometimes it is a solo post that is posted too quickly so it doesn't bring in the image, and if there is no introductory text there is absolutely no reason to read it, especially if I do not know the author.
An extra problem is that if you post on a thread Facebook does not always bring the Vocal picture through which can leave those posts looking a little lost and uninteresting, so what I do is add an image to the post so people will notice mine and they will stand out against the ones that do not have pictures.
Once into the story, it is best to have a striking image. When we recently were forced to use Unsplash I found the images bland and uninspiring, so I prefer to use Pixabay and my own photographs and AI Images.
I often split stories using actual graphics and emojis which I believe makes my work pleasant to look at and enhances the storylines.
I use emojis to split verses in poems, and almost always include a song in the form of a YouTube video. I have been criticised (not constructively) by certain creators for this, who have then tried to unsuccessfully ape my style.
If you see one of my stories you will know it is mine without even reading it, and that is one of the reasons why I get a lot of reads, often from non-Vocal creators.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading this and I hope I have given you an idea or two for your creations.

I've been thinking about images recently. Wouldn't it be cool if you could make your images available for others to use? Another tab next to the Unsplash one that says "Vocal+ Images". And get paid a little when someone uses it (like you get paid for reads)? Just bath thoughts.
I try to be different by using weird words for my titles and weird names for my characters hehehe
Good article as well as great tips. I use Pexels (Pixabay) images of my own images for my pieces.
