May Flowers On The Mayflower - A Mikeydred May Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators

Introduction

Every month I set prompts in the Vocal Social Society and offer a dollar tip to five random creators who take part in it and ask them to share their stories in the comments and on the thread in the group.

This is not official.

So What's Gonna Happen This Time?

I want you to write me a story or poem, the theme is things that relate to the month of May. On the American Landmass, May 11th is Mother's Day, but you could write about a sea journey similar to the one taken by the Mayflower, or something to do with Spring and May Flowers.

Here are a few May days which may provide inspiration:

May 1 is May Day.

May 5 is Cinco de Mayo (“The Fifth of May”)

May 11 is Mother’s Day

May 17 is Armed Forces Day

May 19 is Victoria Day in Canada.

May 22 is National Maritime Day.

May 26 is Memorial Day

I will write and include an example story, but that won't be classed as an entry.

I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with, and I know you are all incredibly creative Vocal talents, so get your pens, paper and keyboards out.
