Introduction
Although I am usually completely ignored by Vocal (except when they take my monthly subscription), it seems that many of my actions either cause or coincide with Top Stories for other Vocal Creators.

Many of the stories that have been submitted to my September Challenge are already Top Stories, although the challenge never made the Leaderboard, and, of course, was not a Top Story itself:

So it seems my Challenges are successful in prompting Creators to create Top Stories.
Paul Stewart and I commented on this, and it got an almost immediate Top Story:

Conclusion
All this may just be synchronicity and coincidence, but it is nice to see stories I have some association with being recognised as Top Stories.

I've seen many pieces become a Top Story after I read and comment on it. So yea hahaha

One of the challenges I created never made too but 7 stories did. So in essence I was a part of that as are you with yours.
The answer to that question is yes, you are. Keep going, Mike.
I've seen it happen with stories that I share with the weekend reading circle, too. It's usually a pleasant surprise when a story or two that I pick to share ends up with a TS <3
