The Winkley Square People Circle In Preston

Something I Noticed On My Last Preston Visit

The Winkley Square People Circle

Introduction

I used to attend Preston Catholic College for my secondary education and one of the main entrances was on Winkley Square. On my monthly visits to Preston I try and walk through this beautiful Georgian Square, though when I was being taught by the Jesuit priests I don't think I appreciated it as much as I do now.

I discovered this circle of names yesterday and was shocked I hadn't seen it before.

Some of the names I knew and some I didn't.

I also discovered this amazingly in-depth website about the area and Preston in general. Go to this and you might get lost for days.

The Winkley Square People Circle

My intention was to write something about the people and places that I read out on the video but they are all on the people section of the site above here.

And here:

Conclusion

Because the Winkley Square website is so detailed there is no point in me sharing stuff in this story, so it is much shorter than I expected.

I now know a lot more than I did about Winklety Square and am happy to share this resource with you.

I hope you enjoy it, and please explore further, you might be surprised an amazed.

These are some of my friends I met for lunch and the Cafe Bar in Winkley Street, including my Alfredo Tagliatelle. The lunch and service was excellent.

Thank you for reading.

Sorry, I can't seem to get past the notion that this is about a circular square, lol! Always love a good oxymoron.

Loved the video. I really like it when you take readers on these little virtual field trips. That scene reminded me of my college lawns.
