Fun Times at Globe Life Field

My first impressions of the home of the Texas Rangers

Before the 2025 calendar year concluded, one of my goals for 2026 was to travel more. Most recently, I did just that. In my previous story about going on vacation to my hometown of Arlington, Texas, I discussed taking part in a stadium tour at Globe Life Field. I loved every minute of it and everyone who was part of the tour were excellent. In this story, I'll give my opinions about what I thought about GLF.

On the morning of February 18, 2026, I got up and chose what I wanted to wear to the stadium tour at Globe Life Field. Just to remind everyone, I took a look at the outside of GLF the day before to prepare myself for the next day. I ended up wearing my gold-inspired Corey Seager World Series jersey, a blue World Series t-shirt, and a blue Rangers hat with a gold 'T" in the middle and the script that says 2023 World Series Champions on one side of the hat. The weather was nice that day and headed to Globe Life Field. I arrived there around 9am and waited outside, because the tour didn't start until an hour later. Once I stepped foot inside of Globe Life Field, I was greeted by a woman who would be the tour guide. I was part of this tour, alongside two couples and one of them had two young boys. The premium tour, which I took part in, lasted an hour and a half. Tours are offered on certain days, meaning that if the Rangers are playing a series at home, most likely tours aren't conducted during that time. Depending on which ballpark you visit, their rules may vary. The first thing I saw when I stepped inside GLF was the field. It was like heaven and also in awe. Everyone had a chance to wear a replica version of the World Series ring. It was huge but looked great on my finger. These were given away at one of the Rangers games as part of a promotion back in 2024. The premium tour was like a history lesson to us. We were educated on a plethora of facts about the history of the Texas Rangers, framed jerseys of past players, and a lot of memorabilia, including displays of the team's 2023 Postseason and 2023 World Series run and eventual win. One of the best attractions we saw was the office of Rangers announcer, Chuck Morgan. We only got to see it from the outside, because it was glass. Let's just say that his space was way more presentable that mine. For the last half hour, we were ed to the field, where kids had the opportunity of playing catch. The rest of us adults were admiring the field and taking it all in. It was my first time being on an MLB field. I didn't get a chance to go into the dugout, but the day was amazing.

The premium tour ended at the Grand Slam Team Store, which was inside Globe Life Field. This was where Rangers merchandise is sold. I bought a few things for myself to take home with me back to Arkansas. From jerseys to hats, the Grand Slam Team Store has great stuff and if you're planning a trip to GLF, be sure to stop by there.

I highly encourage everyone to take a tour of their favorite MLB team's ballpark. It's a great way to know more about your team: things as a die-hard fan you probably didn't know about. It's definitely worth your time and the experience. If you have the courage to tour the ballparks of all 30 MLB teams, go for it. Globe Life Field is a ballpark that I'll be visiting again soon, but for a game. I attended my first Rangers game in 2001 at 13 years old at The Ballpark in Arlington, but I have yet to attend my first game as an adult at GLF. Hopefully, that will become a reality.
