It Doesnโt Make Sense for Women to Get Married Anymore
In the same way that men have always been encouraged to live out their bachelor years before settling down with a younger woman to finally start a family after 4 or 5 decades of life, women are finally free to make the same choice.

Men Donโt Believe Us
To make my point, letโs start with a little story from my morning commute. My workplace is in the city, but in such a hard-to-reach spot that weโre provided transport to the office from the city center. Since thereโs no bus or train to make it there, everyone who works in the building either gets there in their own car or by minibus from the city center.

Jewelry Gift Ideas to Add Sparkle to Your Christmas
Christmas is upon us in all its glory. The lights are up. Mariah Carrey has taken over the radio and is singing about all she wants for Christmas. We are mildly addicted to hot beverages and fed up with spam sale emails flooding our inbox. But the undeniable truth is that a) no amount of hot chocolate will ever be enough, and b) as unappealing as overconsumption is, we need to know about the sales to go Christmas shopping. Because what is Christmas without presents?

Monster Woman
12/1/2021 I wrote about being a lemon, giving away pieces of myself, and screaming into the void. Bette On It: Weird Adolescence is a highly-fictionalized story inspired by distant memories of my teenage years. All of these pieces were supposed to be ways to share my feelings about how I got to be a 35 year old woman who identifies as a scarred, monster, loved, lonely, and hopeful. Anyone listening?

Why Banning Abortion is Unconstitutional
In the face of Dobbs v. Jackson Womenโs Health Organization, otherwise known as the Mississippi abortion ban case, pro-choice advocates all across the nation have doubled down on their arguments for protecting the right to a safe abortion. A myriad of strong, valid arguments have been presented, with everything from protecting bodily autonomy to a fair question of when life truly begins. Unfortunately, though, it seems that many of these arguments fail to truly reach the ears of the other side, the side calling for an end to Roe v. Wade. However, one thing that both sides of the aisle value greatly is the Constitution, which grants American citizens the rights we hold so dear. Neither side wants to see an unconstitutional bill turn into a law because no one wants their rights to be violated and disregarded. The thing with abortion bans, though, is that they do directly violate the Constitution and some of Americaโs founding principles. Hereโs just a few ways in which they do so.

Vagina Is Not a Bad Word
Society has molded us into creatures afraid of speaking openly about our bodies. This is especially true for women. There is a sense of shame or embarrassment when talking about women's bodies and naming specific parts accurately. When I started doing research for this article, one of the often "suggested questions" in Google was "what should I call my daughter's private parts?"

The Venus Effect . Top Story - December 2021.
Our world has been turned upside down in the last 20 months or so, in no uncertain terms. We have been blindsided by unexpected events, and felt more collective fear and disempowerment than we have in a long long time. Perhaps in our entire lives. It has not been easy, nor gentle, for weโve been swept up in a maelstrom of angst in unprecedented ways. And yet, with all the death, destruction and confusion; with all the unceremonious stripping away of dignity, autonomy and deeply held value systemsโฆ. something deep in our hearts and souls is galvanizing, even as the body and mind takes shelter.
