Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan Greeted by President Biden and Vice President Harris After Landing on U.S. Soil
In a momentous event highlighting the intricate dance of international diplomacy and the critical issue of wrongful detentions, two American citizens—Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan—were greeted by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris upon their return to the United States. This event, following a meticulously negotiated prisoner exchange with Russia, underscores the complexities of international relations and the U.S. government's steadfast commitment to protecting its citizens abroad.

What Honest Planet Would Look Like
What would the world look like if all the lies and deception were gone? What would the world be if instead of cowardice and people who have been taught to "cya" (cover your a&$) at all costs, we actually were told the truth? I don't know, and maybe we will never know, but I suspect that if courage could bring honesty up, real human evolution and civilized progress could occur.

Republicans! Here’s a Hint, Eve Had a Point of View Too
Republicans just don’t know if they should shit or go blind. They’ve fought for years to establish the idea that abortion is wrong. The only problem with that stance is the problems women have when their lives are upended with a pregnancy. Well, those problems do not give a single fuck about laws that any state passes to insist that all the citizens of that state ignore reality. God just screwed up when he/she/it made women. Cripes, it’s right there in Genesis. Women are being punished for being more curious than men. Therefore, it’s clear, some 5000 years later, that Adam and Eve were evil through and through. Not only that but it was Eve who had to have some apple. She knew better and made poor Adam do something he really did not want to do. The only reason God was PO’ed with Adam was because he didn’t stand up for what God told him to do with his old lady. Apparently, Adam’s fig leaf prevented tanning in certain essential areas which support manly manliness, and poor Adam succumbed to the succubus Eve. Maybe it’s just me, but that story has some parts in it that answer a lot of my questions, but it surely does raise a bunch of questions I can’t answer, too.

Since we pay Tax why are charities needed?
Since we pay Tax why are charities needed? Are we paying twice for same thing? Charities do very good work. The point is not that charities do not do good work, but they should not be needed if government bureaucracies were efficient.

The Thinly Veiled Racism of the Republican Orange Boy Fantasy
My daddy told me one time when I was knee-high to a grasshopper–okay it was a really big grasshopper–that I would do well to look a man in the eye when he paid me. I was not to take my pay by reaching behind my back to get it. In time I learned that to do as he instructed, it was necessary to do my work as he had instructed me too. His only instruction about work was, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Right meant that not only was work to be done to a standard higher than a client could reach himself and to be done efficiently and, obviously, so that it could not be done better in the same time by anyone. It could be done as well, but if someone could do it better, the job just wasn’t done yet. I’ve found in my brief sojourn here in this world that the old man knew what he was talking about.

Addressing Poverty Holistically
Addressing Poverty Holistically Beyond Income Measures By J.Waréus To truly address poverty, it is important to take a holistic approach that goes beyond income measures. This includes focusing on improving access to education, healthcare, social safety nets, and sustainable livelihoods. By addressing poverty in all its dimensions, we can work towards a more comprehensive and lasting reduction in poverty worldwide.
