The program was set up in 2020 after the death of George Floyd, an African American from Minneapolis, Minnesota who was kneeled by on his neck causing him to suffocate to death. Until Trumps' presidential victorious presidential win, Walmart announced that it will no longer renew a five-year commitment for racial equity.
