JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States of America, is a converted Catholic.

On Saturday, April 19, 2025,

one day before Easter

Vance went to the Vatican for an official visit with the Pope.

Instead of meeting directly with the Pope, however, Vance conferred with Cardinal Pietro Parolin in the Apostolic Palace.

In essence, the Pope's righthand man met with the President's righthand man.

During the discussion between the Vice President and the Cardinal, the Vatican expressed alarm about the Trump Administration's lack of compassion for foreigners.

Quoting from the official statement...

"It is clear that the approach of the current U.S. administration is very different from what we are used to and, especially in the West, from what we have relied on for many years."

That sentiment is shared by Canada, Mexico, South America, Finland, England, France, pretty much all of Europe, African countries, Australia, Japan, and so many more. Basically, Trump's actions have been denounced by all of the free civilized world, not to mention the majority of Americans.

Russia loves him, though.

Vance and the Cardinal exchanged opinions about...

"Countries affected by war, political tensions, and difficult humanitarian situations, with particular attention to migrants, refugees, and prisoners."

If Vance even tries to relay those concerns to his boss, they will fall on deaf ears.

Trump has no capacity for empathy.

Ever since he survived the assassination attempt on his life, Trump has had a mushrooming Messiah complex.

He has already crippled Congress. Republicans will not stand up to him. They are wealthy because they kowtow to him. They are afraid of MAGA cult members voting against them.

They don't care about American principles.

They want to keep their jobs.

Not only do Congressmen make six figure salaries, they can easily become millionaires by playing the stock market.

Our forefathers believed in 'checks and balances'.

Our forefathers rebelled against a tyrannical king.

The only thing that stands between Trump and that same kind of ultimate power is the Supreme Court. And he's already packed it with Justices who are basically his personal high-paid pets.

The Supreme Court is the last institution left to stop Trump from shitting on the Constitution and flushing it down a golden toilet.

Trump seeks to silence all who oppose him. He has no respect for Freedom of Speech.

He wants to be President for life. He has no respect for a two-term limit.

He uses outrageous, antiquated laws to deport people based on his whims.

He dismantles government agencies that keep America's most vulnerable citizens from starving... literally.

Any elderly or disabled person dealing with the Social Security Administration for the last decade will testify that the SSA needs more employees, not less.

People are already suffering because of this President.

And he's only just begun.

America's greatest (former) allies are appalled by the U.S.A., with good cause. Trump's tariffs are supported by morons who believe everything wrong with reality is anything they personally define as "un-American." And 'un-American' translates into 'more than half of our own citizens, plus every country beyond our borders'.

The world economy is being attacked by one megalomaniacal man.

Our forefathers believed in "government of the people, by the people, for the people." That's translated Trump and his MAGA minions to, "Government of old white straight guys, by old white straight guys, for old white straight guys."

We have a cult of millions in America.

Donald Trump is Jim Jones, Charles Manson, David Koresh.

He seeks to destroy anyone and everything that stands in his way.

Pope Francis saw what is happening in America.

Trump's Easter message was a screaming display of loathing, vitriol, and vows of vengeance. In other words, nothing special; it was like every other day when Trump spews his bigotry.

During the meeting with Vice President Vance, Cardinal Parolin expressed alarm over the Trump Administration's crackdown on migrants. Equally disturbing to the Pope was the United States' cuts to international aid.

The Vatican urged Vance/the Trump Administration/the United States to work to find peaceful solutions to the wars in Gaza and the Ukraine.

Does anyone think Trump will find a peaceful solution to the war in the Ukraine after he's cozied up to Putin, even going so far as to exempt Russia from his chaotic, antagonistic tariffs?

At the same time Vance was being schooled on humanitarianism across the Atlantic, back at home in the U.S., the White House is using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to imprison and deport people without due process.

This is barbarity, as certainly as slavery was in 1798.

We are not at war.

Or we weren't.... until Trump personally declared war on practically every human being on Earth.

Trump seeks to speed deportations in defiance of American courts.

He treats people like animals, unless, of course, they are millionaires.

Rich people really matter to Trump!

The day before Easter, what occurred between JD Vance and Cardinal Parolin was a direct message from Pope Francis to Donald Trump.

Pope Francis did meet with JD Vance.

The Pope gave Vance gifts for his children.

Vance said to the Pope, "I pray for you every day. God bless you."

Vance is not a horrible man.

But he does align himself with a selfish power-hungry narcissist committing harmful acts.

The conference between America's 50th Vice President and the 226th Head of the Catholic Church was destined synchronicity.

Pope expressed wishes for "serene cooperation" between the White House and the Catholic Church. In the past, the Pope rebuked the President's mass deportation efforts, calling them "a disgrace” and a “grave sin.”

Trump shows no signs of letting up.

Perhaps the saddest realization of all is

The Vatican talked to Vance about

"President Trump's commitment to restoring world peace."

It's utterly impossible for this President to restore world peace when he causes nothing but division and misery here at home.
