I Wrote This Challenge Winners
A behind-the-scenes glimpse at the Vocal Curation Team’s top picks from I Wrote This.

It takes a different kind of bravery to tell your story out loud.
For this challenge, we asked you to write something only you could say, and then actually say it, with your voice, on camera. And you delivered with truth, courage, and unforgettable moments.
We heard stories of daughters carrying invisible burdens, fathers whose absence shaped the path forward, and the quiet ache of trying to make a house feel like home. Some stories cracked us open with humor or tenderness. Others hit with the weight of lived experience. But all of them proved something no machine ever could: this was written by a real person.
To everyone who wrote, recorded, and stepped outside their comfort zone—thank you. We saw you. We heard you. And we won’t forget it.
Here are the ones that still haven’t let us go.

River and Celia's narrative is a raw testament to survival, where every word feels like a heartbeat. It’s not just a story; it’s a haunting reminder that even amidst unimaginable horror, the human spirit refuses to be silenced.

Congratulations to all you who won. And well done to all who participated
Congratulations to all of you!
This really brought me back home Vocal Team! I have my own story as to why I have been under what feels like boulders. I really needed a kick. Congratulations to all of those who participated and shared meaningful stories.
Congrats one and all! 😃
Congratulations to everyone! It takes real courage to step in front of a camera. I was going to join in on this challenge originally, but something about being in front of a camera just gives me way too much anxiety. xD
Congratulations to everyone! 🎉

Well done everyone 🥰
Congratulations everyone!
Congrats everyone!
Congratulations to all the winners! Some amazing pieces here, and it's wonderful to see people's lovely faces reading their work. We have mixed feelings about it, because without the horror Bisan and other Palestinian experience the poem wouldn't exist. We are looking for a way to put this money towards something meaningful.
Congratulations to All :)
Getting runner-up with my first submission means so much!! I can’t wait to continue sharing my art on this platform. Congratulations to the winners & everyone who participated ❤️
Wow, very grateful to be a runner-up! Being vulnerable can be hard, so I’m glad to see it was received how I intended. Congrats to everyone!

Thank you, Vocal and well done to River and Celia (I need to actually, confession, check if I've read it, but if I haven't I will) so glad to see you guys getting more recognition! Also well done to the Frommster, Joe, Euan, and Gina. As well as everyhone else, naturally!
