Super Loving Moon
When I searched my brain. I could not find anything but authors block. I thought I searched in vain, until the memory of the moon wakes me again. Welcome. I am sorry if I haven’t been around as much, or my replies were coming in weaker than I would’ve liked. But I am here again, another round of love and support if you would have me. Let us all be friends in the comments, we are all labouring for a better day, a better world aren’t we? We are all in this to love one another and guide peace. My reads will be linked below. Seven links to seven amazing authors:🌹 ♥️Aspen Marie, Sara Wilson, Rick Henry Christopher, lightening bolt/Bill ⚡️, Shirley Belk, Antoni D’Leon , Raphael Fontenelle ♥️ 🌹

Dear Super loving moon,
You never told me you were in the new moon phase
When I looked for you, I couldn’t see the light touch my face
But the stars knew ©️
~©️🌚🌜
I was sad, that you wouldn’t see how you would shine in my eyes
You were a friend to me that day I became my worse mirrored view
In mind —I tried —I wished —I would find a place where I could be without show ©️
But your pull guides you close in your orbit to pose
So we could see the many ways you could be lit and darkened —when you waxed and waned
~©️🌚🌜
But please
Come by on October 7th over the UK
Then you would be larger on the day you tease
Close proximity — Face the earth when we gaze
What I hope — will you be so kind — will you decide
Your pull would not make —stronger ©️
The tides —of my soul— to rise —ever high
To be more than I —could really —ever bear
But if my plea — be not enough
~©️🌚🌜
Guide us to the faithful one who lit you before the day breaks
Let us know that it will rise again when morning meets day
Let not your face be red
Or your light be taken
But if it does
~©️🌚🌜
Let it be
By the
Man coming
On
The
White horse
Yours sincerely,
A spec of dust compared to you
Caitlin Charlton

Very compelling from start to finish amazing work.
Loved your poem..."but the stars knew" And praise to the faithful One and the One who will ride in on that white horse!
Wonderful letter, sharing other poems you found inspiring is beautiful too, you're truly a wonderful person!
Caitlin, you don't need to apologize for the time missed here. I go through the same when I am in too much pain to write or when something else holds my attention. This is absolutely beautiful and a nice shout-out to our recent super full moon. Also, thank you for linking to other writers' work. I am behind here myself, but will do my best to put in some quality reading time this week.💜
So heartwarming! I 🧡'd it! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you very much for mentioning me that the end of this poem. I really do appreciate that. Your letter to the moon is exquisite. This is such a good read and Somehow I felt a glow, the glow of the moon as I read your words. You put it all together so beautifully and perfectly wrapped in a feeling of hope. I especially appreciate appreciated the following line: Guide us to the faithful one who lit you before the day breaks Let us know that it will rise again when morning meets day Those lines, in the context of your poem, show us the strength that lies from beyond our own bodies. That there are heavenly realms bigger and stronger than us - but it is because of their presence - we know that we are strong - as little as we may be relatively.
"A spec of dust compared to you" - this is insanely good! If you don't mind me stealing it, from now on I plan to sign my emails with 'Sincerely, a spec of dust compared to the Moon'. I wish you all the best with the challenge. This is my favorite read all week (I'm personally in love with the Moon, but don't tell it to my boyfriend, he'd didn't think it's serious haha).
Such an elegant response to the challenge. It captures the loneliness of searching and the comfort of remembering you’re never truly alone.
I am sure the super moon will be a SUPER moon when it reads your lovely letter. Well done, Caitlin.
The new moon phase is a powerful time to renew and restart, to let go of what is no longer serving you to make room for what's to come. Embrace her dark side, just as I'm sure you have embraced your own! I am sure with a letter like this, the moon will face you once again and shine brightly on your face so you glow like a star in the night. "A spec of dust compared to you" ... that's my favorite line, we are all just star dust, but regardless of how tiny we are compared to the moon... she sees us, she moves the tides, she moves the waters within. Your wishes have reached the moon, I am sure. Keep up with the beautiful work Caitlin! Writers block is natural, it is good to take a break sometimes. All the love <3
Caitlin, I have read this poem more than once and love it so much. “October 7th” to me marks a night when the moon shines brightest—and a gathering of those who remember days past. The lines “Guide us to the faithful one who lit you before the day breaks” and “Man coming…on the white horse” feel sacred to me, a promise. This poem is beautiful through and through.❤️
The moon is one that guides when needed most. It lights the way in the darkness. Good job.
I love how you wove in both the personal plea and the cosmic imagery, it really fits beautifully with the Letters to the Moon theme.
Wonderful words and great to share others' works as well
Awww, this was so sweet and touching! Such a beauuuuutiful letter to the moon!
What a beautiful letter. You write with your whole heart and it shows. Also, I'm flattered you mentioned me 🤭🥹 You've shared some great pieces within your own wonderful piece and I'm honored to be included among such talent. 🙏
It's a sweet letter. Well written, Caitlin
