"We are broken,"
we can no longer say,
"We can carry on,"
and,
"We can rise,"
as rage subsides...
we see
now,
My Love,
We must move on.
So much water has passed between us.
"The uncertainty hurts."
We cannot say,
"Why"
and,
"What matters."
"Truth?"
"Us?"
Can you see?
I can see...
in these clear skies...
Now,
What we are...
Tears falling.
Lost to the wind...
Inside an ocean...
droplets forgotten.
We will never be...
Whole.

CJ lost the plot a long time ago. Now, she writes to explore where all paths lead, collecting crumbs of perspective as her pen travels. One day, she may have enough for a cake, which will, no doubt, be fruity.

I noticed others enjoyed the same lines I did. Your words flowed so beautifully from top to bottom and reversed
“ Inside an ocean...droplets forgotten.” works well in reverse, and changes the meaning nicely. It almost speaks of the arguments and fights as something smaller within the whole of the relationship, and that can be survived. The flip from pessimistic to optimistic is excellent Caroline 👏
Another clever one! You can do this lady 😂. I wrote one and worked so hard to make it make sense both ways (which it did), that I forgot it had to mean different things when reversed 🙈 Back to the drawing board 🤷♀️😂
Very clever, good luck in the challenge!
This was so good. You nailed the art of the reverse poem
Masterful exploration of some of my favorite themes. I especially liked it in reverse (that’s what she said 🙃.) ‘We will never be... droplets forgotten. we can no longer say, “We are broken”’ Love that so much. 🩷
Wow you are a damn of an amazingly talented writer!
This was beautifully written!
Beautifully layered & wonderfully expressive.
Whoaaaa, it was soooo powerful when read in reverse! You nailed this challenge!
Cj - Well you've certainly 'Flipped-Me'...You write on so many topics ~ as a writer ~ you write what's on the table at the time...! Just Marvelous, Jk
Beautiful!
Brilliant!!! ❤️❤️💕
Deep love it :) Subbed
You did it! And you did it beautifully.
Amazing work! This is a really striking inverse poem! Love how you orchestrated the flip!
