A chap called Jabberwocky

One fine day…

just around midnight.

I met a strange chappy

Who delivered to me quite the Fright!

He went by the name of Jabberwocky.

Certain I had misheard, I straightened my glasses, nice and snappy.

Jabberwocky!

he confidently repeated.

My friends call me Jabber, because I love to yabber.

Well, there was no stopping him, he would not be defeated

prattled on and on and on…

until his whiffling

became so mind numbing.

His perpetual piffling

almost lulled me asleep.

I was getting quite desperate

when he glanced my way with a gimble

Tipped his hat and shot

Well, I’ll leave you to it!

And speedily went on his way.
