cat
It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
Not all soulmates are people
A soulmate doesn't have to be a lover but is someone you are destined to meet, what if it's a cat? The cat that I loved so dearly I found injured, sick, dying and, alone. In this cat I found a beautiful friendship and a lovely companion this is the story of how I saved Mr.Tabby, or maybe he was the one saving me.

This One, I Want This One
I’d been watching her for a couple of weeks, and I knew there was something special about her, aside from the obvious difference. Every night at dinner time I would go out to the top of the driveway and wait, hoping to catch her eye. I stood well away from the commotion of the twenty or thirty feral cats milling around waiting for their food. They all lived right there under the house so there were always at least a few cats around, but night time was a three ring circus.

The Street Cat That Saved My Life
I didn't grow up with a sister like most people, I grew up with a cat. She accompanied me for 21 years of my life until she died. I was lost. I travelled the world and moved to Colombia all by myself. I never thought I will find someone (in that case "somecat") again, I care so much about and that is so much more than just a pet - but then came Agata.

Stark is my Hero
I always loved animal. Since I was very young my parents made sure that I was surrounded by dogs mostly. No matter where we lived we almost always had an dog. That changed of course when I got a little older. My parents divorced when I was 14, both my brother and I had very big mental health issues and an animal just seemed to be the last thing on our minds. I didn't really discover my love of cats until I was 15 and my dad suggested that I take a cat home to my mom. We named him Bandit but we didn't have him very long before he was stolen. Then we had a cat named Isra who we decided to give away because we simply couldn't take care of her and needed to find her a new home that would love her more.

FELINES FOREVER
I actually have three adoption stories, and that's the funny thing about cats, THEY adopt you, not the other way around. They know where they want to live and go to all lengths to get you to know they choose you. So no matter how hard you try, to say "just this once", they melt your heart and become part of the family.

Simba
Jan called to say that it was about time we had another cat! It seems she had a lovely little female grey tortie in the cattery due to it being dumped over her fence. She had rehoused the last one to us and we had Ming from 2 years to a very healthy 17 years old. Such a proud and awesome cat too.

Mirabella
When I first met my beloved kitten, my aunt and I were fostering her and her two little sisters. We had fostered kittens previously, but these three were the youngest we had ever had, only six weeks old. We didn’t know where their mother was or what happened to her, but these small little babies were terrified of everything and everyone. We had them in their own room, so they would be separate from the other cats that belonged to my aunt.

In the Time of Your Life, Live
We named her Seven. But my youngest wasn't sold on the name, so I took the red magnetic 9 off our fridge, placed it in the kitten's dish and said: "Wouldn't it be funny if Seven ate 9?" That rocked my four year old's body with laughter and from then on Seven was our new cat's official name. My eldest always called her Sevy.

An Unlikely Pair
So many people have said they preferred animals over humans. I can well understand why someone might feel that way. I have many human friends but my animal companions have always been ranked in the "best friend" category along with a privileged few humans! Let me share one of my favorite stories about our two favorite family pets.
