The vanishing tabby
I have only had my tabby cat Boots for 2 weeks and we are just getting to know each other. He was skittish the first evening but every day since he has been a joy. Boots likes to lay on us when we are on the couch and if we get up to go to another room he will follow. He is curious natured as all cats are but has never been out of our sight for long until today. At 10:30 AM Boots perched on the back of the living room couch as I was writing stories. When I got up to get some water he went to the steps and ran up.

Three dog names that should be retired
Three dog names that should be retired Hello, fellow friends of dogs. (I am assuming that you like dogs if you are reading this article.) I have known many dogs over the years. I had one when I was growing up, I have a habit of making friends with as many dogs as I can, and I worked at a pet supply store for over a year. It goes without saying that I have heard a wide variety of dog names over the years. Some of those names were pretty awesome in my opinion others not so much. Here is a list of three common dog names that need to go extinct in my opinion. I have one more thing to say before I get to the list. This article is based only on my own opinions I do not have any intention of making anyone feel bad for giving their dog one of these names. I wrote this article for fun and entertainment so let us get to it.

A Spooky Story
Late last summer, I was over at my best friend's house out in the middle of nowhere. This location is in the middle of farm fields and nothing as far as the eye can see, except for corn crop fields nearby. My family and I were visiting because we were planning our wedding in November 2020. My best friend was helping me plan out the wedding. She was also supposed to be my maid of honor, which did not end up working out in the end. So late that night, while we were planning the wedding, we decided to take a quote-on-quote, "Spooky," break by playing with the app called "Randonautica."

So.b
My life would be over if I didn't have this little dog to make it worth living. He has been a constant joy and inspiration in a life void of both. A long time ago I made the heart breaking decision not to have children. It seemed like the only responsible thing to do since I had no family. The idea of my child(ren) going to foster care if anything happened to me was enough to keep me from it. Well, here I still am with no kids or grandkids to look forward to. What else is there? Take it from someone who knows; nothing.

Saving Private Peter
"Is this close enough?" -Peter Meet Peter (a.k.a. Petey). He is a two and a half year old, mixed breed miracle. Our story starts when I met him as a patient at the veterinary clinic I was managing at the time. I had just transferred to that location and heard from others that he was the hospitalâs âfrequent flyerâ. They were right.

They Rescued Me
I can't remember a time as a child when my family didn't have a dog. Sometimes more than one. The companionship one gets from a dog is something beyond compare. In our home I was taught to love our animals, that I had a responsibility to them; they didn't choose us, we chose them. This kind of lesson is one that is priceless and everlasting. After my parents divorced my family no longer had a pet dog, mostly because my stepfather liked cats so that's what we had.

The Adoption of Coco
It was year two after our move back to my small hometown in B.C. and I was struggling to maintain my Australian Shepherd X, Sweet Beanâs social life. I had bought her from a family in Kanata when I lived in Ottawa. I had tried to adopt from a shelter at the time, but none of the shelters I had reached out to ever got back to me (I took it as a good sign that the shelters were busy with successful rehoming stories). After months of searching I ended up with Sweet Bean. She had had many friends at the dog park in Ottawa but unfortunately due to my living situation I ended up having to move back to B.C. I eventually managed to make several friends for her that she had playdates with on the semi-regular, but her social life had been lacking since our move. I had always wanted more than one dog and I knew it was time to take the leap and get a second dog.

Expanding the Family
My cat, Crusty, a squawky, tiny little black beast, passed away of old age one fall a half a dozen years back. With one kid in diapers and another in the midst of potty training, scooping a new kitty's poop wasn't something I was eager to add back into my daily tasks.
