The Hound Found Downtown
Years ago I had just moved to Tucson, before it became a sprawling city. I was living in the desert in a small rental home with a bunch of friends, and was working as a substitute teacher, trying to finish my degree. The only thing that was missing in my life was a dog. Dogs fill that empty space, with a magic that soothes every inch. They are there for you, in the good times, and the challenges, and they will find you, wherever you may be at just the right moment. So I decided that I would go to any length, to find a dog suitable to my lifestyle and could fill that void.

What Big Eyes You Have
Aye-ayes are part of the primate order and considered to be long-fingered lemurs. They look something like a cross between a racoon and a rat. They are fairly small around 12 to 16 inches and weigh in at 5 - 6 pounds. They have long bushy tails that are larger than their bodies. They look like they are wearing large, round glasses with their big yellow-orange or sandy brown eyes and seem to have a look of surprise on their faces. Surprisingly despite their small size aye-ayes are the world's largest nocturnal primates. It has also been discovered that they have a sixth finger on each hand giving them an extra thumb.

Throw Out the Dreaded Cone Collar
We’ve all been there. Your fur-baby has just undergone a traumatic experience at the vet, a spay/neuter or an injury, and the doctor hands you this torture device and tells you it’s imperative you keep it on your pet, so they won’t disturb the healing of the area. The dreaded cone collar...

Should You Use a Cat Training Mat?
I have always had cats…and I always will. Brought up in a family where our multiple pets were considered furry babies, I carried that way of thinking into my adulthood. I cannot imagine life without pets to love, and I bond deeply with animals, especially my cats.

The personality of the cat depending on the color of the hair.
Perhaps not everyone knows that the color of the coat determines the personality of the cat . There are cats of many colors and shades and also very different characters , they are characteristic shades that only the owners can recognize because apparently they can all look the same.

Just a Dog part 8
Not the Dog You Think It Is. When I say “my dog Max” most of my family think of the albino Sharpei that lived a short, tumultuous life with my parents and me when I was fourteen (or so). Typically that’s what I would be speaking of if I were to mention my dog, Max. However, there was another dog named Max. One I had before the infamous one that everyone knows.

A childhood dream fulfilled
For so many years, I was longing for a canine companion, but never fulfilled. I am feeling joyed having my first pet dog after long years waiting. For a dyspraxic person like myself, it is a great feeling. Special need individuals show an excellent connection to dogs. I experienced a difficult school and college life. My work life was not the best, as I got bullied and misunderstood. I never settled in a workplace .

Woodland Cries
How do you know if a fawn has been abandoned by its mother? Just last summer, my partner and I were hiking on a lesser-known trail in the Black Hills National Forest. We were just driving through on one of our cross country adventures when we stumbled upon the trailhead and decided to take the chance to stretch our legs.
