The Differentiator

The Key Between Those Who Succeed And Those Who Do Not

By Dr. Cody Dakota Wooten, DFM, DHM, DAS (hc)Published 4 days ago 3 min read

We are close to the point...

Where 25% of people have already given up on their goals for the year...

Assuming they set any type of intentional goal at all...

Instead of just hoping their life will change without any intentional effort (which nearly always fails).

Then, as the year goes on...

More and more people will give up...

Up to 92% by the end of the year.

Then if you expand it over more years...

98% of people will never reach their goals in life...

And will be on their deathbed with regrets.

This means that only 2% of people make it to the end of their lives...

Feeling they had lived a successful life.

So, what is the differentiator?

What separates...

Those who reach the goals of their lives...

And those who do not?

If you could put it in one word...

Consistency.

The people who have the most success in life...

Are the ones who are the most consistent.

Consistent in action toward their goals.

Consistent in character that defines their magnetism.

Consistent in their values that are exemplified in their behavior.

If you want to know who will be most fit throughout their lives...

Look at the individual who works out every day, even just for 10 minutes...

Over the person who attempts to go to the gym for 3 hours inconsistently.

If you want to know whose nutrition will serve them best...

Look at the individual who maintains a diet 80% of the time...

Over the person who goes on and off diets.

If you want to know who will succeed in business...

Look at the person who does meaningful work daily...

Over the person who attempts grand projects and chases the latest trends.

If you want to know who will be seen as the best parent...

Look at the person who spends time with their children daily...

Over the person who does grand vacations while never seeing their children for days or weeks on end.

Every...

Single...

Time...

The person who succeeds...

Will be the one who is the most consistent.

I know this from experience...

At 32 Years Old...

I have received more recognition than most people in my industry would dream possible...

With over 150 awards and nominations.

Why?

I have been consistent with writing.

How consistent?

I have written and published an article...

Every...

Single...

Day...

For over 3 years in a row.

Many people join the executive coaching industry...

Over 80% leave within 5 years...

Those who stay are doing something semi-consistently...

Writing weekly articles or posts...

Releasing weekly podcast episodes...

Finding monthly stages.

But what they discover is that these are the minimums needed to stay in the game.

This also plays out in every area of life.

Those who fail are the least consistent.

Those who are semi-consistent make up the majority of those who stay in the game...

And those who are the most consistent are the ones who gain the highest recognition.

Wayne Gretzky said, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take."

Most people fail because they do not take shots.

Those who take shots score...

But without consistency, they never reach the highest levels of their craft.

Those who take the most shots...

Figure out the nuances that most people are completely unaware of...

Including those considered good.

These are only found...

Through consistency.

That is the differentiator.
