self help
Self help, because you are your greatest asset.
Support Someone
I think it's always important to help someone when they need help and ask for it. That's number 1! Well-being is so important. You might be thinking, why should I help someone? I'm not trained and I'm not a therapist! To help a person you don't need to be trained or be a therapist. Anyone can just help and listen to someone, it changes a big part of someone else's life. Even if you don't think you can, I believe in you and I know you can. Be positive and open with someone. If you are positive then you are confident.

No resolutions in 2021!
Like everyone, every year I make resolutions like the rest of the world. And just like most of the world my resolutions mean nothing and I rarely ever actually accomplish them. You make them telling yourself that this year you will do them, this year you will accomplish things. You may even start to make changes in your life towards them. But sooner or later you just go back to doing the same thing that you did before. Why is that? For most people you forget your resolutions shortly after you make them. Habits, especially daily habits are harder to break than just making a resolution once a year. This year, make a commitment to not make a resolution. I know a crazy thought. But really think about how many resolutions that you have actually made and stuck with through your life. Most likely not many.

How I Decided to Stop Asking For Permission
I am a dreamer, I strive to be the best I can be and I am always trying to find ways to improve myself and the world around me. I believe I have the potential to change the world with the gifts I have been blessed with. I didn't always believe this, and I didn't always act in line with my truest potential. I've always felt that I've been held back, whether by circumstance or by those I felt were superior to me in some way.

Slowing Down in 2020
I will preface this by saying it is difficult to revel in one's achievements when so much was lost this past year, but as my therapist would say, I should celebrate small victories. My thoughts go out to everyone who lost a loved one to the pandemic. This isn't a recap of 2020, nobody needs to be subjected to that, but if you're in the mood for that, Netflix's Death to 2020 does a great job at hitting you over the head with all the crazy that took place.

It's OK to Face-Plant!
Have you ever had a dream or vision so big it consumed your thoughts for hours, days, months and often years? Then, seeing a window of opportunity, you lunge for that dream… arms outstretched in total freefall, only to fall flat on your face.

Them or Me?
Chole's eyelashes fluttered as her envious green eyes beheld a new day. Chole returned the smile to the painted image above her. She knew people thought it was shallow of her to get an image of herself above her bed. Chole would rather have them think that than the truth.

Delete Social Media and Be Lonely
Delete it. You don't need the fake sh*t in your life. There are too many fake people and fake ideals. On the internet nowadays, especially social media, it is hard to think why you would still have it on your phone. Before the end of 2020, I managed to delete Instagram and Tik Tok from my life. The Facebook ship sailed long ago for me. You need to separate yourself from it, all too often it'll get into your head and won't be able to escape for hours. I covered this in another of my posts.

One Resolution for a Healthy New Year. Top Story - January 2021.
When thinking about what healthy resolutions we should take, most of us gloss over the most important component to enable a healthy lifestyle: our brain. How many of us have set resolutions for ourselves just to quit halfway through January (if not sooner)?

All Your Perfects
Here’s the thing. Anyone can be beautiful if you know how to look. And that also includes you. It is unrealistic to assume that you can see all the perfects in everyone. It is also a little narcissistic if you stare at your naked reflections all day.

A healthy guide to endure rendezvous with despair.
Ah yes, the infamous feelings of anxiety, melancholy and stress that never announce their visit or ask for permission to keep me company. I actually met them a few years ago and they didn't seem that dangerous at the time, little did I know that over the years my new comrades would show their true colors (the original creators of shades of grey) and leave me wondering how did I ever let them into my life.
