How to heal fully and properly.
Phoenix Center
Monday November 2, 2021 The package has sat unopened on the table by the front door since Thursday. Just walking by the package caused anxiety. All I wanted to do was throw the whole damn thing unopened down the garbage shoot. But I am not brave enough to throw it out or look at it. So, there it sits.

There Is Always Hope
Jackie Joy didn’t know where to go or how to get her next meal. Tear streaks from various days, now ordinary to her, created a tree bark timeline on her cheeks. She had lost her way; her age, gender, depth of thought, and will to live had escaped in the middle of a night she could not remember with life’s goals and dreams tucked and folded sweetly in a briefcase she had never seen.

No words
Each one is different but they all have a similar flow. I’m heading somewhere I enjoy, either by myself, with friends or my mate to a place far away. Most of the time I don’t quite know where I am but last night I had to of gone to Hawaii, there were a lot of palm trees and coconuts.

Heart On Fire
I lived my life with a fierce intensity, the proverbial rebel with a cause. Thinking that if I worked hard enough and believed with all my heart that I could make the impossible dream happen. I had this idea that I had all the time in the world.

One Page at a Time
"Journalling," he said, as he slapped a little black book down in front of me, "Add this to the tools in your arsenal." We'd been given a lot of tools in rehab, but I wasn't clear on how to use them. First, there was prayer - I wasn't sure I believed in it. Next came meditation - my thoughts were panicked and racing. Asking me to sit still and stop thinking was surely an impossible punishment. Another was exercise - every inch of my body ached from withdrawal. I couldn't even fathom joining those fun-loving cross-fit freaks. "You're going to journal each morning and each night." and with that, group therapy was dismissed.

Anxiety in the Pandemic
Okay, I will go first. Sometimes embarrassment can keep me from telling the truth. The snide looks, hurtful remarks, the fear of judgement...from people you know, or if you are on social media, people you may not know. But, the truth of the matter, embarrassment is not my bully.

How To Forgive Yourself And Release The Past
Many of us recognize forgiveness as a positive act. It sets us free from anger and resentment, two feelings that not only feel bad, but also affect our physical health while keeping us from living authentically and experiencing the wonders of life.
