happiness
Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Wayback or Now
I was recently asked, if I could go back into the past, would I change anything? At first, I thought that was an easy question and figured I could produce some clever twisting of words or a memory or two that could have gone in a different direction. However, what seemed like a simple straight forward request has dominated my thoughts for over a week. Sure, it would have been easier to have made myself 6 foot 4 inches and to not have flat feet, oh baby, to jam in a rebound against an East Bridgewater Viking or Bridgewater-Raynham Trojan; to be numbered among the greats at Westies High; or maybe to have had the clothes and toys and cars and things that many others had; or to have been ballsy enough to tell girls what I really thought of them; maybe to have gone to college and become the English teacher/basketball coach I thought would be so fulfilling.

Be happy every day!
Would you wish to take pleasure in your day? You'd want to have a lovely day, wouldn't you? Would you wish to have a productive day at the office? While you may believe that it is difficult to expect to have a wonderful day every day, the truth is that it is conceivable, feasible, and practicable even if you lead a hectic daily life.

Personal growth
It's possible that you've heard the phrase "personal development" and wondered what exactly it meant. Personal development is sometimes referred to as self-improvement and self-development. Different approaches for changing one's habits, behavior, actions, and emotions are referred to as "self-improvement techniques."

Musical Conversation Between 2 Souls
Have you ever met someone for the first time, and just knew they were special? I've been lucky enough in my life to have experienced this feeling several times, but nothing is quite like the day I met Doug. We were at a recreation event for and with those who have developmental disabilities in the county he and I both lived in (at the time). A couple months prior, I started as the Music Coordinator, the Music Man, tasked with creating and implementing a comprehensive music program spanning several different developmental disabilities and a wide range of ages for the individuals supported at this particular non-profit agency. He was wearing a cowboy hat dancing up a storm, letting loose, and cutting up a rug. It was as if nothing else mattered. He was in the zone! I absolutely loved his energy, so I felt compelled to go over and introduce myself. We hit it off cracking jokes and I knew I was in the presence of someone self-less and caring.

What Is She Writing?
What is she writing? There she is again, just like every day before last. I find her to be so odd, always in that knit hat. I think she has such a lack of purpose to be here. She is always alone, but I see her sit over there on that bench watching the children play. Why does she do this? She doesn’t have a child here? There are only four children here, and they are mine. Every day she sits there and will write in that little black book. What is she always writing?

Loving the Infinite You
Love is an infinite thing no matter where it’s coming from. It shifts and changes over time, but gives each person who feels it a certain glow. When you love the people around you it shows you how much you are willing to do for them just because you care. Caring for someone means you will do something for someone without expecting anything in return. Selfless love means you don’t care what happens to you as long as the other person is safe.

Don’t Worry Mom, I’m Going to be Okay
Lately, my dear mother has been sick in the hospital. Not with COVID, mind you- with cancer (again.) Nobody like her should suffer like this, let alone during Christmas of all times. So, the stress of seeing my mother like this has been hard for me. Ever since I moved back home (long story), Mom and I have had some tension at home due to the lack of structure in my life. Lately, I've been feeling horrible for all the terrible things I did and said, and would have done anything to take them back.

Sally, Unfiltered
I'm an introvert with low self-esteem. I can admit it—I struggle to like myself, and I have low expectations of anyone else being able to, either. This means that I am often reserved and standoffish when engaging with others; I tend to not want to be vulnerable or expose too much of my personality, largely out of fear of judgment or rejection.

Put on Earth to live or to simply be alive?
Oscar Wilde once said: To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most People exist, that is all. A statement that many of us at some point in our mediocre lives, can probably relate to. But, at what point does life become just an existence of mediocre proportions and how do we live again?

Buttons, Buttons
“Buttons, buttons, who's got the buttons”…it’s a refrain from an old children’s game that few recognize nowadays. It harkens back to a time when children weren’t parked in front of computers or TVs; when gaggles of youngsters played together, with whatever they had on hand.
