6 Reasons Why Every Author Should Consider Self Publishing
When I first began writing seriously, I did a lot of reading up on the subject of Indie Publishing versus Traditional Publishing and for a while I was in two minds. I weighed up the pros and cons of each before making a decision on what was best for me and decided I really wanted to give self publishing a go. After all, what did I have to lose? I didn't have to close the door on publishing the good ol' fashioned way; the dream of getting a publishing contract and seeing my books on the shelves of Waterstone's are still there, but in the meantime my work is "out there".

Battle Buddies
I was the type to be hesitant when it comes to sharing out my feelings and my inner gut. I truly don't know why, but it was a sense of being shy and scared to let all of my emotions slide off my plate and bring it all up in front of someone's face.

Fear of Knowing Who You Are
Part 1 While watching The Great Dictator--featuring Charlie Chaplin as Adenoid Hynkel (Adolf Hitler)—I am reminded by a memory of the past. North Plainfield, New Jersey is where I grew up and, as any child, I imagined it as a world of surrealism with strange characters. If you've ever seen the Nickelodeon cartoon called "Hey Arnold", then you can imagine how closely knit and eccentric the community was. Well, that was the gist of my surroundings growing up with neighbors of special interests. Did we have a crazy-cat lady to go along with that? Yes and, to this day, every time I see a cat, I think back to the swarm of cats that lived in my neighbors home. Thanks crazy-cat lady for ruining my view on cats. Anyways, going back to The Great Dictator, there was another strange character that taught me a lesson about self-acceptance.

3 Things I Wish I Learnt Sooner
Over the past few years, I’ve been debating on going back to school to get my Masters. Feeling stuck in the place that I’m in, I thought going back to university would light that creative fire. Currently, I’m getting my diploma as well and I have been feeling more motivated (even though it’s taking up some of my time), but I know it’ll pay off in the end.

What is your word?
I like to start off each new year with a word. This can be any word but should be something meaningful that encourages you to begin a new year. With all the unexpected events faced in the year 2020, this was a particularly challenging year to choose my word. Of course, we all look forward to a new year for many reasons and approach each one with positivity. Whether this means a new gym membership, spending more time with family, or dieting, change is usually accompanied with desires for a new year.

"Bless You" vs "Damn You": Should We Show Compassion to Bad Drivers?
“What the hell are you doing, a******? Did you forget how to drive?” My blood pressure shot up as a car swerved from the center lane and cut me off to take the exit off the freeway. It was at least the fifth recklessly stupid thing I had witnessed in twenty minutes.

Why You Should Not Trust The New Year Success To Luck
Oftentimes we read stories of some successful people being in the right place at the right time when a spectacular deal was struck, and we say such people are lucky. If you have a bit of review of your past years, how do you think you fared? There is not much in reviewing our past results, but because successes and failures do leave some sort of trail. And these trails can be a guide to our future.
