Stop Trying to Be A Therapist
Unfortunately my sleep patterns have been off and as a result I’m awake when the sun starts peeking up. However, I do tend to do a lot of my deep processing during this time as everyone is usually asleep and I can find some quiet/alone space.

Happiness Depends On Us!
What is happiness? We need only to look in the dictionary if we are searching for a definition, which would tell us that happiness is pleasure and contentment, but it doesn't really give us the answer we are looking for, does it? We know full well it's an emotional state that brings us great joy, satisfaction, and delight, and we are desperate to be in such a state of emotion for an absolute maximum amount of time in our life, but it's more so what constitutes this happiness, and how we obtain it, that we want the answers to. We can find bursts of happiness and short term satisfaction okay, yet it's that yearn for overall fulfillment and life satisfaction that we seem to always be chasing. Many of us actually never end up finding it, and there's a reason behind that. That reason being, we continually look in all the wrong places, leading us to make all the wrong decisions, and executing all the wrong actions. Let's have a look at a couple of examples.

How I became a better person in a global pandemic
So, 2020. It was a rough one. Unpredictable, at best; utterly catastrophic, at worst. Zero people I have talked to were prepared for it, and quite a lot of them chalk it up to an unnecessary year that did not really shove them forward in life.

Hood Rich
my bank account sits at over $1,000. it'll be gone before tomorrow. this is the case for many people my age -- millennials working grueling 9-5 shifts just to barely make ends meet. every month, i'm holding my breath about a week before payday, wondering how little we can eat that week. every month, late fees accrue as i push off yet another credit card payment in favor of going to the dentist, or getting an oil change, or just buying groceries.

3 Steps to Achieving Your True Potential
Working to achieve our true potential or understanding what that is for each of us personally, can at times feel like searching for the Holy Grail. It’s hard to know where to start, or what to focus on when you explore that question for yourself. As a result, you may find that you drift along with life, and it may even be hard to feel confident about what to specifically focus and build on. That then can cause us to do things for all the wrong reasons. Which can have the knock on effect of leaving you with little motivation or engagement for the things you do actually engage in.

Musings of a Southern Writer’s Journey
I am an unabashed lover of books. My journey into the world of words began when I was five years old, and I have never stopped. Granted at five, the books I read were golden or comic, but I loved each of them. As I grew older, I progressed from Chip ’n Dale and Justice League of America comics to reading Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and The Adventures of Tom Swift. A neighbor, Miss Boozer, a retired librarian, recognized my passion for reading and on my birthday and at Christmas gave me money to buy books, several books. I liked her.

Beauty and Usefulness - ways of "seeing" that may help us right now.
Right now many of our lives are rocked by the global challenges Covid has brought to the world, we need a little hope and inspiration in our lives that might otherwise feel as if they are going into freefall. This famous quote keeps coming to mind: “If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” This was written a long time ago by William Morris who was the father of the arts and crafts movement.I am going to substitute “houses” for “ life “ and the quote works just as well and is perhaps even more pertinent and thought provoking.

Life's Test
Susan Colder has risen from a sales representative at the Beautiful Your beauty care empire to the Manager. Her journey of ten years has weathered many storms, hurricanes, and a few tornadoes. It was her love for beauty culture that gave her the strength to keep going. She has been robbed and cheated by family and friends who purchased her beauty products and promised to pay. Some would hide, others sold her hard-luck stories and some just refused to pay. Many times, she would go hungry as her salary had to go towards paying for delinquent customers. Still, she has won many sales representative of the month awards.
