Is It Just Me Or Are Asians Bad With Compliments?
How does it feel when you get complimented? When someone tells me I'm doing a good job or that I look great, I get uncomfortable. My first instinct is to downplay, then deny and then think of a compliment about the other person, deflecting the attention off of me.

Alexander Proud thinks you should sack your life coach
I guess I should be used to the ubiquity of the ‘coach’ in modern life. At the outdoor gyms in parks around London you see perfectly normal looking men happily subjecting themselves to extreme verbal abuse like privates in Full Metal Jacket. This is the hunting ground of the personal trainer, all the Joe Wicks wannabes yelling instructions, interspersed with generic motivational phrases: “Faster, Harder, Stronger” alternating with: “Come on, man you can do it!” even when self-evidently they really can’t, but they’re paying for that yelling, so the coaches don’t hold back.

My 5 Mind Rules!
1. Do things for yourself before anyone else, be selfish! Why? Because at the end of the day you only have yourself, whether you can admit it or not people in this day are not how they used to be. You can not worry about others who simply do not worry about you, you should not stress out about others who do not worry about you, and lastly, do things for yourself! That car you wanted to buy, but didn't, go buy it! That outfit you wanted to wear but someone didn't like it, WEAR IT. Stop worrying about what others think. Self care and self love is the most important thing a woman can do for herself and her mental health which is what my next rule is about!

Writing Inspiration
I tend to try and inspire myself to write quite in small ways. Some days just suck. Writer's block can be difficult to overcome. I know most writers happen to struggle with it. Over the years, I have grown very fond of writing quotes. Words can hold so much power and I have always been obsessed with the way they flowed off my tongue. You can either gently caress someone or cut them like a knife. I like to tell myself that I own my story. I own every little thing that has happened to me. And I do not enjoy feeling the pressures of writer's block.

The birth of an Optimist
We all know that it is difficult to keep a positive frame of mind when there are so many negative things happening every day in the world. It is vital to realize that the way in which we look at the outer world also influences our inner world. The negative happenings in the world create a negative effect in our minds. We need to take control of our inner world and become masters and mistresses of our brain, instead of being slaves to it.

Coffee
'Good ideas start with brainstorming but great ideas start with coffee.' This statement is so true. Personally speaking, when a situation is so abrasive, that the mind is confused, take a deep breath smell the beans, enjoy every flavour of coffee, then all thoughts will fall into place. Me personally I love coffee, my treasured coffee is Cafe Mocha, with a flavour of cinnamon. There have been times in my professional life where was petrified by external or internal factors, I used to consistently drink my coffee, with a piece of nice soothing music. Most of the time, after drinking my coffee I have a satori that helps me to ruminate over the issue. Every morning, a good bed coffee is a great thing to have. I have a short story that I would to share.

In Writing All You Have Is Your Voice
I've had my writing rejected more times than I care to count. But that's life. Some of those articles and stories, I freely admit, were not up to scratch, some might not have been a good match, and many simply didn’t make it because the publications get so many submissions the bar is extremely high.
