I Love You Today!

Honoring Introspection

By Candice DoylePublished 4 years ago 6 min read

As my dreams fade, I wearily open my eyes and awaken to a new day. I take my first intentional deep breath. In the warmth and comfort of my bed, I am filled with gratitude. I rise with a long stretch, Aah thank you. I'm alive!

I awaken with intent.

I choose, I am filled with great power and love. I have control over how to make positive decisions about my life.

I ask myself, Just for today. What action will you take to serve your higher purpose for tomorrow?

Good morning and good day to you, my children.

If you were to think of your whole body as your children. How would you treat that relationship? What might you say or do?

You could greet them with a good morning and I love you.

Nurturing them with care, attention and educating them. Provide balanced nutritious food and remind them to drink water. If they were hurt or ill you would show comfort, give your child medicine, maybe go to a doctor. Tell them to rest, so they can get better. In a Night time routine you might draw them a warm bath, make sure they brush their teeth. Come on it's time to go to bed, you need to get good sleep. Tucked snug in their beds, followed by a kiss and sweet dreams. You're a proud parent even if you made mistakes, you did the best you could do for today.

By actively allowing yourself to be in the now, through mindfulness, self love and expressive creativity. You can take the lead to empower healing within.

Each day, I invite you to say hello.

I love you my children, (Don't forget about your inner child too)

Creating personal wholeness with consciousness, love and attention. When you look in the mirror, talk to yourself. See your reflection as if you were talking to a growing child. Would you say wow you're ugly. Your nose is too big, surgery can fix that. That scar disfigured you.

No, you would say. My child you're beautiful and unique. It's the differences that make us special. Scars fade and they tell a story. There are some things we have the power to change about ourselves. Ultimately any of those things you would like to improve. Should be done because you want to do it for yourself, health and wellbeing.

Feel and allow yourself to look inside to connect on deeper levels.

Look in the mirror, see your reflection of your eyes looking back into you. Did you love yourself? Have you done something today that made you feel better?

I Love You Today

Connecting & Strengthening

Remember personal safety, move one joint at a time. Be comfortable, mindful, acknowledge the differences. Send energizing love!

1. Standing erect, take some deep breaths in. Raise your arms from your sides. Reaching high above your head. Place your palms together. Then arms still raised flip your hands palms out. Slowly bring your arms down to your sides. You should feel your shoulder blades and arms are in a more comfortable place.

2. Feet grounded hips aligned. Recognize how you're connected. Do my feet feel balanced on the ground? Feel for any imbalances. Sway from side to side.

Hold on to a chair, counter something sturdy if needed in the following steps.

3. Lift one foot and move your ankle in circles one way then the opposite way. Recognize the energy being felt, sent and moved. Say good morning, Hello, Send Love.

Then the next foot.

4. Knee circles one way to the next. This can be challenging keeping balance. There is no wrong or right way. Shift into what feels right for you. Acknowledge if one side feels stronger than the other.

Now we work our hips and pelvic region. I want you to find your comfortable spot. Hips, knees aligned with feet. Slightly bend your knees.

5. Hands on your hips, tilt your pelvis back and forth back and forth... move your hips in circles one way to the next. Say thank you and send love for being strong, a saddle of strength that holds your whole upper body.

6. Place your hands in between your navel and pelvis. Deep breaths in and out. This is the house where powerful energy exists and your creativity arises. Hold a sacred place of intention. I am love, I am loved. I am healing, healthy and strong.

7. Now we move to big circles and little circles moving your arms at the shoulder. Forward and backwards. Circles at your elbows. These arms have carried great burden and loved many.

8. Take account. stand tall raise your arms above your head, palms together, flip palms outward. Bring arms down with inhales and exhales. Repeat.

10. Arms opened wide to your sides move your wrist in circles back and forth.

11. Arms out reached in front of quickly open and close your hands flexing and moving each finger.

12. Then start patting your whole body from the bottom up each limb. Your chest, back, organs. Come to a close by tapping your face and skull. Invigorating energy, circulation and lymphatic system.

13. End with rubbing your abdominal area in a clockwise motion. Then holding space of gratitude and love between your navel and pelvis.

Do all 13 steps, some or one.

By connecting to your whole body.

You create awareness to own your strengths and invite healing. Be your ever glowing light in the pursuit of growth and happiness.

With each rising day, when in your eyes meet your reflection.

Smile, say hello and I love you. Out loud or internally this is about you.

I choose.

Socially we can wear our bodies and minds down. The guilt we place on ourselves if we say no or don't do something or go somewhere. This weight of expectations to be all and everything for everyone else. The shame we can carry to look better, do and be more. Really, it can be a dishonor to ourselves. When we don't take the time and space to love ourselves. It can leave us on empty. Then when we want to be fully present for a loved one. The energy and love we provide may not be to the level we want.

Wake with gratitude. Say Thank you to a new day!

What makes you feel good,

fulfilled or relaxed?

How did you show yourself I love you today?

Were you kind and nurture yourself with care?

~Pay attention to your body's needs and desires.

Did you educate, entertain or create something that gives you joy or peaks your interests?

Provide yourself balanced nutrition & remember to drink water.

Maybe you just really needed that cheese cake, Yummy

Make your physical & mental health a priority and listen to your bodies messages.

I didn't feel good so I decided to lay in bed and watch movies.

My body was full of aches, so I exercised an stretched.

I made that doctor's appointment.

Took a self care day and got a massage. Then ordered dinner and skipped chores.

- I honored how I felt today.

I wanted to get dressed up today and it made me feel good.

You know I just wanted to be comfortable. So I rocked those sweatpants.

I took an epsom salt bath and lit candles. Aah my body needed some tender love and care.

My house was messy, so I blasted the music and danced about and cleaned. I feel so much better that I got that done.

I always feel better when I get a good nights sleep. I'm going to make it a priority to go to bed earlier.

I had so much fun at that concert last night. I'm surprised, I barely slept but I feel great. I guess I needed a fun night out.

Really there is no right or wrong way to Love Yourself.

Let go of the unknown uncertainties of the day without fear. Everything is as it is and just for today. I did the best I can do. For tomorrow's sun will rise with great power. As I too will wake with strength. I will enter my day with gratitude and love. I move consciously and trust. That with each action I take or don't take I'm honoring what feels right for me. I choose to reserve my energy or who I share it with. By doing so, I serve my highest purpose for personal wholeness and stability in my life.

Remove the unneeded stress of perfection.

We're allowed to feel and be imperfectly amazing!
