Inspirational Woman

Strong and Fearless

There are many strong, fearless women that we look up to; that come in all come in different shapes and sizes. They make us better people, by motivating us, having our backs and anything else that is contributing positive vibes our way. So my inspirational woman is myself. Now I don't want to sound shallow. But from birth until now (21) I have motivated and inspired myself to be a better person. I've had countless days of looking into the mirror and having prep talks to uplift my spirit. I taught myself to start taking a breather when things were getting to rough; and to re-approach those same situations with a different mindset and better attitude. I have some good days, and I have had some bad days. And I have overcame the most challenging situations. So I give myself a pat on the back for picking my head up.

Dear Self,

Remember the time you were in the bathtub crying because you felt as if you were not good enough? You wiped your tears and told yourself "I refuse to let this situation worry me". The time, you first joined basic training and thought "Oh No, I can not do this", look how far you've came 3+ years later. Or how about that time you had nobody to hang out with so you told yourself "Self Love is the best love", you went out for Ice Cream and a movie and took a lot pictures. You enjoyed yourself that day remember? You almost doubted going to college, you swore up and down you couldn't make it, but you've made it this far; being a full time student not slacking behind and staying on top of your homework while also working a part time job. Oh, what about that one achievement you made, you drove 10 hours from Virginia to Tennessee. I could tell you were excited with that accomplishment. I've watched you grow from being shy, to taking risks every chance you get. But lets rewind back to your younger years when you taught yourself how to hula hoop, or the time you learned how to throw frisbee "Flick of the wrist" came in handy. Here's a better one, when you were the new kid in school you decided to audition for "The Nutcracker" lead Role (Clara).

You've came so far *fake, sincere cry*, I am so happy that you've been shooting for the stars. You're not a bad person to be around, you have your flaws like everyone else. You have the talent of of making everyone around you laugh, you are very generous and have gotten quite humble. Just remember to let hurtful situations go, you will find it is easier that way. And MAKE FRIENDS!!! I know you like spending time with yourself but dang girl, there's nothing wrong with having company. I really pray that you make it far in life, learn from your mistakes and keep it pushing, thrive in anyway you can. "I love who you are as a person... as a woman".

What about you all? Who motivates, to be a better version of yourself; your go to person when things get rough? Or just when you want to brag about an accomplishment. It's okay to have more than one inspiration, there are many women that we can all look up to, who have helped us in life. And believe it or not, those same women have women they probably look up to also. We should always empower each other, and to never let anyone disrespect us or any woman we love. We should always stand united, the women before us went through a lot to get us where we are today; and we should honor them by doing right by each other.
